I have no doubt the season will end up being cancelled. They're just delaying the inevitable. The NBA should focus on how they can start NEXT season. Resuming this season at any point means a drastic shift in future NBA seasons. The cost-benefit of resuming this season is just too high (infection, injury, etc.).

Maybe if the U.S. hadn't completely botched their response to the coronavirus, we could entertain the thought of resuming the season.

On a side note watching the 2018 WCS again last night was a lot more fun then I thought it would have been (I usually don't rewatch sports). Just wish they would show all the games not just the ones we won.

The suspension of the season has to suck for the contenders, but I just can't see them trying to resume play yet, even for the playoffs. Can you imagine if a player ends up testing positive in, say, the 2nd round of the playoffs? Their teammates have probably been exposed, as well as the team they've been playing against. What do you do then? Does the team waiting for the winner just get a bye?

I know they're thinking that they'll be in a 'safe' bubble, but who knows what players could get exposed to -- in the hotel, the dining room, the training facility? They think they've sanitized everything, but if something does get missed, it's going to make a mess of the whole process.
