I've had several conversations with non-fans about what today means for fans and it's hard to explain the amount of love fans have for Klay and why -- and I think that it's true even for fans of other teams. He's just the most genuine guy going that no one could possibly dislike. I like (in limited doses) trying to explain my sports fandom to non-fans, because they have these assumptions about what it means and miss out on the beauty and human-touch aspects. They think it's like dribble dribble dunk, who cares? Bruh. We care.
Gonna have to change my handle to "Weepy Pete". Like if the game ain't bad enough, I have "Brian's Song" in the DVD player ready to go after the game. "Steel Magnolia's" after that. Just trying to soften the landing, LOL.
