I keep seeing the narrative of "we're not winning anything this year anyway" inform several other questionable takes about the squad and I don't think I agree. For starters, we may very well end this week in the 4 seed. There are only 3 teams in the West that I'm confident are better than us at the moment (and we've beat 2 of them already). Factor in:
-Unpredictable covid effects on those teams/any injury to an opposing star
-Steph and Kelly's shooting returning to normal
-Wiseman growing out of "worst starting center in the league" by spring
-A possible midseason upgrade
...any 2 of these happen and we absolutely have a shot at WCF. I think the team is absolutely in win-now mode. Any other view is disrespectful to Steph and Dray IMO
love the bench for wiseman. We won by 28 and the guy still -2. I mean it was oubvius that he has a LOT to learn on both sides. It was the wolves but still....
Starting looney is the best way and wise can still learn playing 20 minutes a night
One more thought: The Warriors definitely didn’t play their best game tonight and they won by 20. Pretty sure that shouldn’t be taken as a sign of weakness.
I liked oubres game tonight, he didn't force too much. If he's knocking his threes down and cuts out those goddamn double teamed fadeaways ten footers we're looking scary.
Sidenote, now that wiseman isn't starting, can we expect to sign a veteran center? Because looney and dray are not going to get it done on the boards

Seeing the W’s start Looney showed how much they wanted this game. Steph was like what you couldn’t do this for my Reggie Miller game??? Fine I’ll make you sweat a bit before I slam the door shut.
That’s not a terrible Wolves version they had on the floor. They got after it on the boards. Never seen such intensity in the last 2 min of a 20 point NBA game.
Wiggins is just solid man. He doesn't do anything super well (apart from blocking shots maybe lol), but he brings much value with his versatility. On-ball defense, playmaking, slashing, shooting (FTs need work though). Few players in the league that provide value in all those areas. You can use someone like him and surround him with specialists (usually far easier to find). That trade is probably worth it to get off Russel's contract alone (he's been really bad this year), but getting the Minn pick is just highway robbery.
Steph woke up mid 4th after someone (Beasley I think?) did something to piss him off. 15 pts in 3-4 minutes and this game was done. Getting slightly concerned about Dray though - seems to be off it for the last couple of games.
The Wolves need to rebuild though. This iteration of the team isn't really getting anywhere for them and I don't know how long KAT will be willing to stay. They have some nice prospects though in McDaniels and Edwards along with some nice pieces in Rubio, McLaughlin, Vanderbilt, Reid and Beasley.
So D'Lo for Wig's and a useful pic is turning out to be a pretty good thing.

This team, playing to its full potential, can make a run in the playoffs, we just don't have the offensive firepower to be a horrible rebounding team
