Steve Kerr on Warriors' showdown with Brooklyn: "Win or lose, I don’t think it’s going to change my mind about who we are. On the other hand, when you play the best teams in the league, you do walk away with a measuring stick of sorts."
Game Thread scheduled for 4. I'm not sure I'll be around, so if any of you beautiful people could help move the conversation over to the GT, we'd appreciate it!

In case anyone missed it, Apricot has a very moving and personal thank-you video up on YouTube reflecting his new experience starting to be a YouTube legend in the last month or two, and answering some questions. It's a good watch, and let's give it the thumbs up and commentary it deserves at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT356-ov2FY&ab_channel=DubNationHQ
Re: Poole, D3 you hit it on the head that his shot selection needs to be introduced to the concepts of quality and situational awareness. With improved selection, two primary aspects of his game will open up. First, obviously, is his offensive efficiency will mostly likely uptick. Second is that it will allow Poole to be more of a facilitator rather than almost always hunting for his shot, specifically when he's leading the second unit. Jordan has progressed a lot every year. The next step in his evolution should be for him to learn how to be more of a traditional PG when it's needed. As it stands now, his overall mentality is more of a score-first SG, which is what I believe his role was at Michigan where he only averaged 1.3 assists/game.
The KD years, especially Year 1, had some of the best basketball ever and quite frankly I enjoyed the shallowest NBA fans whining the first year. But after Y1, having KD radiating “success can’t buy happiness” rays and generally seeing the team burnout and fall apart physically was a downer.
Watching Durant play for us was awesome and I'm glad I got to see it but I don't really miss him on the Warriors all that much. The thrill of the dominance the Warriors had while he played here was offset by the weight of the expectations to win every game and the relative lack of ball and player movement compared to how they play without him. I don't miss the media circus and I don't miss the chatter that Steph isn't the best player on his own team. Dominance is fun but all of those other things matter too as far as one's enjoyment of basketball. I don't know about y'all but the games the Warriors are playing this year have been more fun to watch than many of the games in say, the 2019 season.
Fans of the site will be *delighted* to know that I am hereby debuting a series of posts about my pet peeves in NBA fandom and commentary. EXTREMELY delighted, I should have said. On the edge of your blue and gold rocking chairs. For who does not want to hear someone else's peeves? (If I get even one like, I may post a second peeve, so be very thoughtful in responding.)
Pet Peeve #1: The Sports Plural. "There are some great defenders on the team, like the Draymond Greens, the Andre Iguodalas of the world." This makes no sense, can easily be restated in the singular, and grinds my goddamn gears. It should stop immediately because I want it to, and I think we can all agree that I should get all things I want.
I want to see kuminga guard KD for a couple possessions, would like to see moody start getting more minutes as well too, eventually his shot will start dropping
Game thread time!!!!!’
OMG, why am I so excited for this game?

I can't believe the LOLakers pivoted from DeRozan to Westbrook. Wow, what a colossal blunder.
Mark my words: today is the day Kuminga was revealed to be the KD stopper, limiting Durant to only 60 points

Four Warriors dunks making an appearance, only tied by KAT also showing up four times, dunked on on three of them and a teammate dunking on the other.

This should be a fun game.
