Anyone who doesn't appreciate the value Draymond brings to this team simply doesn't watch this team very much. GSW doesn't win three titles without him.

Draymond steps up when it matters. This season doesn’t matter.

Ben Taylor did a video on Draymond last season, and it really captures Dray as a player. Really shows how elite Dray is at passing and defending.

I posted this last summer (too a Draymond "hater") when trading Draymond was in vogue. To this poster, "Draymond Green is a huge liability"

The Warriors would not have gotten past the Rockette’s this year (2019) without Draymond. Draymond is both one of the best playmakers in the league AND one of the best defenders of ALL-TIME.

To see Draymonds value, look at the last play of game 5:

1. Draymond is guarding Gasol

2. He calls an audible for Iggy to double team Kawhi with Klay. Draymond is now guarding BOTH Gasol and Lowry

3. He then fronts Gasol on the block while Lowry moves to the corner when the ball moves from Kawhi to Van Fleet

4. Because he moved to front Gasol he is in position to stop a Van Fleet drive. Van Fleet puts the ball on the floor and would have beat Liv to the hoop if not for Draymonds position fronting Gasol

5. Van Fleet passes the ball to Lowry in the corner, which Draymond anticipated, and is not only in position to get a great contest on Lowry’s right (shooting hand) but actually gets a piece of the ball and it hits the side of the backboard.

6. The Warriors win because of the guy who is a "huge liability."

This play is Draymond Green in a nutshell. Draymond does not just have a high basketball IQ, he is a basketball SAVANT on both sides of the floor! He is playing 3D chess while others are playing checkers!

The Warriors will rue the day they trade Mr. Draymond Green. He is a huge reason we are a dynasty and I hate how undervalued he is with fans that don’t realize that defense is the reason we have 3 championships.

Eric I'm not sure if you ever did an E1P on this (I couldn't find one), but it would be a good one.

The Warriors should do Curry's injury reports like 2K used to do:

"Stephen Curry (Wolves losing too much, have to be sure about worst record before playing him) out vs Wizards"

Way OT, but Liverpool is now down 2-0 at 19th-place (out of 20) Watford with 30 mins left!

In 2016, I was more than ready to get rid of Green because his on and off-the-court stuff was becoming too much. But it seems like he's mellowed quite a bit, especially recently (I barely count this season, because especially in the last few months, I don't really blame such a competitive player from getting frustrated.) However, next season, it's going to count again, so we'll see how the 'new Dray' handles the real pressure again. Also, his referee problems are bad, but sometimes it seems to a good cop, bad cop type of thing with Steph being the good cop.

Unless we pair him with Wiggins and very poor shooter at the 4 or 5 - depending on the lineup (that's one concern with Okoro, besides his relatively - for a great defender - short wingspan), I'm still convnced that his actual basketball playing is an asset (often a big asset), and will be until he declines physcially.

I still think Draymond is a perfect fit alongside Steph and Klay from a basketball perspective, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sick of his antics with the refs. That stuff was starting to grate on me well before this last season. I'm not crazy about his contract either, but it's not my money and it's not like the team would be able to spend it elsewhere so whatever

Get rid of the bum. Trade for Steven Adams.

I would rather have Adams moving forward.

Sigh... so many Draymond concern trolls. I am so happy we have him and Steph and Klay. May there be many, many games left with them all healthy and in sync, because hot damn, it’s beautiful!

In support of Draymond Green and this article I decided to wear my "Cool story, Glenn" t-shirt today.

Color me surprised and disappointed that Green didn't shoot better this year. I chalked up his declining shooting to the fact that he played with Steph, Klay, and Durant. With those guys on the court, it's not a wonder that he didn't shoot very often, and less shooting (or a lower priority on shooting) could lead to rustiness and not working on that part of one's game.

But this year, with the team badly in need of some scoring punch, I thought he'd rise to the occasion. At his best, Dray has always provided whatever was needed for this team, and shooting would have been part of that this year. But he didn't. Maybe he just can't anymore, though I don't really get how that works. These guys making millions so that they can spend all day working on aspects of their game. Seems like shooting would be a pretty fundamental one.

I’m much more worried about the ice packs around his knees every single timeout. But then again, I’m sure he will be back the same hot-headed robot, fabricating assists, steals and blocks, at least for some more seasons. Then, I wish him as a post-Kerr coach. I’m sure that is where he would shine.

There have been numerous articles about Green's role as a mentor to all the new players the have been circulating through the Warriors this season. Getting tossed when his team was so severely handicapped with injured players as well as new 10 day contract players was a purely selfish act on his part. His actions implied that he was more important than anyone or anything else. I'm not sure how any other player on that team can now take his mentor-ship seriously. The disappointment showed in Kerr's face and post-game demeanor.

I just pretend he is taking the year off most nights, but will be interesting to see if his energy is upped with the return of Steph. They didn't hire him to be a coach, but one can still see the relative 'impact' his undefined mentorship has provided. All in on Day-Day.

I can put up with Green's lack of shooting, but he really would help the team if he reduced the amount of jawing at the refs. They aren't going to respond by giving him more favorable calls in the future, if anything, he gets T'ed up for things that other players would get away with.
