I've got no investment in Kawhi. He's a great player, no doubt. But I don't love or hate him. I did dislike the calls that he got in the finals against the Ws, but that's about it. And I see no connection which would make him an honorary Warrior for life. None.
As an SDSU alum, I have more rooting interest in Kawhi then most dub fans, but still would only consider him as neutral.
Although Kawhi kneecapped The Spurs, the way he did it certainly didn’t increase my level of respect for him as a person.
Although he screwed the whole league up with the George/Westbrook/Harden/Paul shuffle, he went to The Clippers, who are in my all-time-root-against short list.
My reaction to seeing Stephen Jackson in a game would be “Stephen Jackson? What’s HE doing out there?!
