Honorary Warriors For Life? Marreese Speights and Alec Burks
Relax, this is just for reminiscing.
Honorary Warriors For Life
The concept is simple. There are some players who are not in the Warriors organization, but Warriors fans will still pull for anyway (as long as no Warriors interests are at stake). So they are not a part of Dub Nation, but they still are welcomed into Dub Nation. This is very often because they are former Warriors players, but not always.

Alec Burks
Alec Burks was a low-profile free-agent signing this year with GSW, but he gradually became the team’s clutch-time go-to player besides D’Angelo Russell.
Fans enjoyed his fearless, assertive drives to the basket, his tricky midrange jumper and his cashing in enough threes to space the floor.
Burks played so well that he probably played himself out of the Warriors’ price range for the off-season, but it was still upsetting when he was traded midseason.
So, with less than a season under his belt with the Warriors, how does Dub Nation feel about Burks?
Well 66.2% / Poorly 2.8% / Don't care either way 28.9% / Don't know who they are 2.1%
A majority of Dub Nation is still pulling for Burks and we award him Honorary Warrior status!
Marreese Speights
Nicknamed “Mo Buckets”, Speights was a fan darling during his three year stretch from 13-14 to 15-16. He was an enthusiastic role player, with a jumper so relaxed he practically shot it after landing. He shot the ball early and often. In his MVP speech, Stephen Curry summed up Mo as “the biggest shooting guard in history.”
Mo delighted fans when he managed to convert a 3 (fans would scream for him to launch those) or a dunk.
As a bonus, he used his strong arm to fire long touchdown passes that sent Oracle into a frenzy.
Here are the poll results.
Well 93.1% / Poorly 0% / Don’t care either way 6.3% / Don’t know who they are 0.6%
And not a surprising result, Mo Buckets easily qualifies for Honorary Warrior For Life! He clocks in just a hair behind Shaun Livingston, Andre Iguodala, and Leandro Barbosa for the #4 best Well vote so far.

I agree, Speights added some key buckets in some important moments. Burks not so much.
I'm yes on Speights, no on Burks.
