I'd say the fair assumption was that they lost it when Steph came back 2 weeks early from injury and teams scouted that you could go left against him and wear him down to the point he couldn't even play his normal offensive game. If you look at media takes and betting odds, no one expected the Warriors to win that year once Steph went down. And it only turned around once the Warriors won multiple games against the Cavs. In retrospect fans and haters alike act like the Warriors were some huge juggernaut in the playoffs that year, but that narrative really only came back once they got good team wins against the Cavs early in that series.
The league suspending Draymond in response to a letter they received from a star player was just the nail in the coffin. The higher ups adding a little extra pressure to the challengers to see if things could play out the way many had already assumed it would for weeks. I remember hearing about the suspension (which was kept secret until a day before the next game, to put a little more pressure on the Warriors' ability to gameplan) and thinking "that's probably it."
It just tells us that the margins on judging greatness are arbitrary - if we won G7 in 2016, most people would've agreed it was the greatest season in NBA History. But just because we lost on a Random Ending, does that mean the regular season is worthless?
It's really stupid and shows the awful decision-making heuristics people use which are completely dictated by results bias.
Feels like a more simplified game... not trying to do too much.
So far, I think he's doing a better job of picking his moments... rather than trying to create something every time he touches it.
In the Jazz game, the play where he might have "done too much" was that drive into the lane where he comes to a jump stop, pivots, tries to draw a foul, and then gets blocked by weakside help. Felt like I saw that same exact play several times in the GL (though he probably made some of them).
Did you see Steph’s popcorn cake? Speaking of popcorn, if you go to popcorn machine dot net, they don’t sell popcorn machines. I think you’ll find it interesting.
Great game, great fucking game, very happy for poole to get those closing minutes. Wiseman looked great, did get killed on D but you can see the progression. Wiggins is not going to shoot this good usually but I loved how he played tonight, not too many midrange jumpers that I can remember
We needed that win, and I'm really glad it involved Poole, manion, Wiggins, wiseman etc having big parts, not just leaning on steph and dray for everything. What a fucking rollercoaster!
Listening to the second game of the double-header: "Curry such a threat on that last play he drew two defenders." Such a familiar tune...
With Embiid and Durant dropping back in the MVP race for games missed, the MVP frontrunner is now ... who? Jokic?
Jokic and Embid are still 1 and 2 with Harden and Dame drawing near and LeBron and Steph falling off slightly.

39 games into the season and (thanks to the Ws tonight) every team in the league now has double-digit losses.
73-9 is pretty good.
73 > 9 is one of the best achievements in NBA history. People sleep on that cos Kyrie hit 1 shot and Steph missed 1 shot.

Werd!
73-9 > a title
Agreed, though both would have been nice.
*Adam Silver fixed it
*Steph, Andre, Bogut all injured
Great win fellas!!, proud of the way the bench played
Poole 3 assists and 0 turnovers.
Continuing to confuse me why his G-League turnover rate is so high.

Teams focusing on him more?
That plus crazy-high usage in the G-league.
Steph, Dray and Wiggs - all of them +19
Couldn't find a good stream today. How'd this game go down?

Came out with high intensity and didn't let up all game. All members of the baby benchmob (Poole, Wiseman, Mannion, Paschall) were great.
Attention to detail on D throughout the game. Dray was elite. Wiggs was his peak level. AND bench unit did very well
Ahhhh feels good. Thanks for watching with us.
Warrior Wonder - Dray and Wiggs?
Curry, Wiggins, Dray, Wiggs.
Basically a push between the top 3, but gotta give it Steph on his bday.
Curry is forever excluded from warrior wonder unless he drops 40+
Wiggins 2x Warrior Wonder - I like.
*Curry, Wiggins, Dray, Poole
Poole!
Yup
NBATV: Curry "a new season high"? WTF?
It’s the most points he’s scored as a 33 year old
Might be a half high by 1 point.

He only took like two of them and they both went in, so it's hard to argue with that. Lot of nice easy lay-ins near the rim, it was beautiful.

If only Curry didn't miss the FT, he would have 33. What a scrub!!
We broke our losing streak...by beating the Jazz??? Wow.
What a bum - Curry's missed FT leaves him 1 point short of 33.
