There has been a lot of Star Trek jokes regarding Yaxel whenever he does well on r/warriors.

15 games today, every team playing, so they're not playing tomorrow... if the NBA is going to organize their entire schedule around getting you to vote, you better go do it tomorrow.

It's days like this that remind me they've gotta have something like 60+ referees employed so they can have a full crew+backup for every game

Gotta get home wins against teams like the Suns if they are going to survive until the injured players come back

During the Friday night game against the Lakers late in the 3rd quarter the Lakers were up 1 and the camera zoomed out to show the full court view. The Lakers missed a 3, Bassey got the rebound and passed to Yaxel. I watched the gigantic smooth forward smoothly bring the ball up, drive the lane, and kick to Podz in the corner for a 3 which he knocked down.

Then they showed the replay and I realized it was actually Gui! Yaxel is out of this world, but I can't believe we have two forwards that big and skilled with the ball.

The Warriors never trailed again, btw,

It's so much fun when those two share the court. It's a real matchup problem. Hopefully Gui gets healthy soon.

I recall that the Prime broadcast actually mistook Gui for Yax on that play as well

It's unfortunate Gui has knee issues. After signing the long term contract and the lack of someone who can play the 3, this was the year for him to break out in a big way.

Is it a long-term "issue" or is he just hurt and needs more rest? I'm not aware of it being a big problem, but he definitely doesn't look right. Not like obviously favoring one leg or the other, but he's been making a lot of weird-bad plays, mainly turnovers, and I feel like he probably shoulda sat out last night.

They are thin in the SF/wing dept but I think he needs to take time off to get right.
