There is just too much entropy in first unit right now including Wiseman in general and also Oubre+Wiggins trying to figure out motion offense. Kerr needs to reduce it and add to it incrementally instead of trying to hit home run given Oubre's motion offense BBIQ. Wiseman would be another choice but his development is critical for next year and future.
I don't think this is going to be a popular opinion but I think Oubre should move to second unit for sometime. Let him get his get stroke back in a simplified offensive unit. Ridiculous drop in his in 3 pt shooting can't all be statistical variance. He is his head because he is lost in trying to do the right thing in motion offense.
I would put in D Lee instead. Atleast he can spread the floor and has familiarity of playing with Steph+Dray. DLee is not great on defense but it's not like we are playing a great defense anyways
Paschall was a beast on the second unit! He was awesome as the center tonight and Steph needs to have a talk with Wannamaker about feeding the hot hand (my random impression was the Warriors might have been able to get close to even if Mannion was out there instead of Wannamaker because Paschall would have gotten more touches in the second quarter.) There are some adjustments to be had that make me think the Warriors have a decent chance to win on Sunday. But Oubre needs to buy into the whole pass up a good shot for a great shot concept.
Green was clearly struggling to find the flow, but the rotations make sense with him starting. Now the starting unit just needs to not completely suck on both ends of the floor with Green out there (This will eventually happen!)
One of very few bright spots tonight: Wiseman calmly swishing all four free throws to raise his season average to 76%. Plus I guess Steph pushing his consecutive FT streak to 75 or whatever. Overall, the FT stripe was basically the only place on the court where we did not suck tonight.
As much of a sh*tshow as that was, I love that we get another crack at these guys to try to erase the bitter taste on Sunday. I’m a fan of the baseball series.
For me, probably the most discouraging game of the season.
Blazers are one of the worst defensive teams in the league. They were allowing 48.5 OPP FG% before tonight (to compare, we were allowing 47.5%). They're one of the worst 3PT% defenses as well. And our offense still couldn't do anything...
On defense, we're one of the league leaders in forcing TOs and only forced 4 TOs tonight.
blazzers 20-42 on 3pt....pistons 13-35...bulls 17-41 ...bucks 20-36...nets 15-35 ...im pretty sure we are the worst team defending the 3point line...and we were the same last year...i mean..kerr has something to do with this

Well at least the Timberwolves lost. I wonder if our pick or theirs will be higher. Pick 1 and 4 next year would be nice haha

Steve Kerr on Wiseman: "James is fine. Tweaked his ankle, but it's not bad." Said he expects him to play on Sunday.
Welp.
Smiley with a meniscus (same one that ended my career in old fat dad basketball league).
Not that he was in the rotation, but another slap of bad luck
Oooooooof.
Rough one. Really hope Wiseman is ok
Good night folks! Hopefully Sunday goes better.
Pretty sure we'll be the league leader in negative point differential after this game lol

Steph -27 today -> leads from bottom. Was it the defense of Blazers or Steph giving priority to play within motion offense, no matter
Anyone surprised Wiseman got injured because the offense so discombobulated?
Let’s hope that Wiseman’s ankle is okay. Without him, it could get even more grim.
