No postgame thread?

I'll put up something very basic

Expand full comment

Basic is fine.

Expand full comment

I mean no postgame is fine too, we got to rest our all-stars on back 2 backs.

Expand full comment

The least we can do is carry the team tonight and let the starters rest

Expand full comment

Damn it! I’ve got the hiccups again from so much winning 🏆

Expand full comment

If I was a casual fan and tuned in to a game to see Harden fall everywhere I probably wouldn’t give basketball a second chance

Expand full comment

Seriously. It's gross. I couldn't imagine having to have him on my favorite team. I'd stop watching or supporting the team in any way until he was gone. It's not fun to watch him play. Especially in a close game that should be exciting. It's a guarantee that he's gonna flail for a call and not even try to actually score a bucket. I'd rather change the channel and watch a Seinfeld rerun I've seen a hundred times.

Expand full comment

So which episode would you rewatch first? 🤔

Expand full comment

The Strike

Expand full comment

The Bubble Boy.

"It's 'moops!'"

Expand full comment

Soup Nazi

Expand full comment

Delores!

Expand full comment

Harden's back. 36 points on 20 free throws

Expand full comment

Shooting 28%, no less. Absolutely criminal.

Expand full comment

Gross

Expand full comment

He’s so capable of being a lethal scorer without resorting to cheap tricks but I guess that’s what separate Steph from the rest

Expand full comment

And they still only managed to win by 2 over Orlando.

Expand full comment

The Warriors are currently the 15th best team in the NBA (well, according to a really smart statistician).

Expand full comment

So weird we're 5th in projected wins but the ELO is wack

They've sunk to 17th with tonight's games. It really is dumb.

Don't know what "stats" Hollinger was seeing - we had the metrics of a 60+ win team in the Steph non-Wiseman minutes last year too.

Expand full comment

The 2016 Warriors finished 56 games ahead of the Lakers (73-9 to 17-65).

We still got some work to do. :-)

Expand full comment

Eh - random ending denotes luck.

Warriors we’re up 10 with 3 minutes to go. The Pistons never even made a field goal after that point.

Pistons were lucky to have a shot to tie.

Expand full comment

Random doesn't care if it's luck or skill... that's why it's random.

Expand full comment

I think when people say random ending they mean it’s a coin flip game, more or less. Win some lose some. This wasn’t a coin flip game

Expand full comment

Plus the Warriors were just better overall. Out-rebounded, out-assisted, and out-shot Detroit for the game.

Expand full comment

Clippers lose to Pels and have a total of 26 pts in the 2nd half. WTH

Expand full comment

Engineered teams with sludgy salary structures and no heart

Expand full comment

West is starting to feel kinda… bad? Us and Phoenix and everyone else is inconsistent as hell.

Expand full comment

That seems to be the way of it.

Expand full comment

Looking at the boxscore, Bledsoe & Jackson shot a combined 5 of 21. Kennard was 2-12. George had 19 pts but was 8/26 and 3/14 on 3s.

Expand full comment

Didn't they play last night? I guess they got tired or something.

Expand full comment

Lost against Griz

120 - 108

Expand full comment

12 in last quarter

Scoreless in last 4 minutes

Expand full comment

What a fantastic win. Chiozza's a legend.

Expand full comment

Of course, any game where Moody hits a pull up jumper is fantastic in my book. Him and Kuminga clearly still have a lot to learn as far as defensive schemes though.

Lakers fans realizing even Lebron can’t put out the dumpster fire

Expand full comment

That realization is gonna be with them for a long time

Expand full comment

It’s gonna work if they just give it enough time. Really! It’s not a dumpster fire at no sir.

Expand full comment

It is definitely a dumpster fire

Expand full comment

And it's got such a nice glow.

Expand full comment

draws you in….hypnotizes…. you dance in circles around it

Expand full comment

...and gives a smile that doesn't go away

Expand full comment

Yeah how about that Carmelo Anthony! 13 points in 26 minutes in a losing effort. Just like old times.

I’m still stupefied by the idiocy of the Westbrook trade

Expand full comment

What do you mean? It worked out great for the Wizards.

Expand full comment

Jaylen-less Celtics putting it on LeBron and the full-strength Lakers. Suck it, losers. :-)

Expand full comment

Let's gooooooo Celtics!!

Expand full comment

Westbrook with a wild shot off the backboard, then a foul on defense, then he got fouled and missed two FTs.

Expand full comment

playing in his pajamas soon

Expand full comment

And they owe him $47m next year as well. LOL

Expand full comment

The Lakers could have had CP3. And with that, I think Lebrons window is closed.

Expand full comment

No more banana boats for the King.

Expand full comment

unless all the seats are upturned bananas

Expand full comment

We may eventually regret picking Wiseman over LaMelo but at least we didn't pick Killian Hayes or Isaac Okoro.

Expand full comment

Hayes can be fine as a 3 and D PG (think of him as a Lonzo-like player). Okoro, yeah. He needs a lot of work.

Expand full comment

Okoro's a good defender, isn't he? Not "#2 pick" good, but good?

Expand full comment

6-5 guy who can't really shoot, dribble, pass, or rebound .... meh. Still young enough to improve but has regressed this season. Beyond the nice physique, he looks more like a #35 pick to me than a #5.

It’s what they traded to get him when they could have gotten a better QB and kept everything they gave up that really hurts.

Lance will be a good quarterback
