Do you know what record feels even more unbreakable than 73 wins? There was a time in the peak of 2016/2017 that the Dubs had won like 80 straight games when they had a 15 point lead at any point.
Now, the Dubs took a 15 point lead against the Charlotte Hornets (only slight offense, Charlotte) in Q3 and the lead was erased 5 min later.
Modern basketball and (I suppose) a bit less dynastic talent compared to the league.
Hope everyone has a great New Years Eve and a Happy New Year!
Didn't get to see the highlights yet, but was semi-following on the CBS site. It seemed like Butler really calmed things down on both ends when it mattered?
Also, good for Gui, nice to see him making the most of his minutes.
Outside of the hot shooting I didn’t see anything I haven’t seen before honestly. His biggest contribution is all of the little things that he does to get stops or keeps the possession going. When his shot is on like today it just becomes much more noticeable. His size and quick feet is valuable to this team.
The Warriors are lowkey on a run. Don't look now but we are 17-1 over the last 18 games, if you count some of the losses as wins. This is what domination looks like -- if you squint.
I see you are subscribing to TRT's denial methodology.
Actually, for the most part, I've liked how we've played last 10 games or so. And the obviously craptastic things (like ballhandling in the Toronto game) have solutions (Melton, Spencer).
> For all of the consistent agony of the GSW games, they actually have won 5 of the last 6 and were 2 total points away from winning their last 8 games in a row
I'm not following the math, can you show your work?
OK. I have followed since the GSOM days with the precursor E1Ps, the initial move to Substack, and the formation of DNHQ. This joke is one of my all-time favorites, and it is forcing me to pause my silent appreciation for this community and comment.
Also, there are 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who don't.
Thank you for increasing my BB knowledge over the years and for forming the DNHQ community.
For me, Podz and Gui are a toss up for WW.

Gui: 17 minutes, 13 pts, 5 rbs, 2 asts, 1 block, zero TOs, zero personal fouls.
Have yourself a game, Senhor Santos.

Gui’s performance today is encouraging. Fingers crossed that it’s not just a fluke. I hope he builds on it, if Kerr gives him the playing time.

Warriors are 8-12 on the road and 10-4 at home.

UNSTOPPABLE, BABY!!!
There is probably a specific timestamp of the 4th quarter where if all games ended there we would've won like ~15 of the last 18
Dubs' last 9 losses all involved having a 4th quarter lead
I liked the part where they won the game.
First/not worst
Happy New Year everyone!
>>peace on earth and goodwill to carbon based life forms everywhere
This seems unnecessarily prejudiced against the non-carbon-based life out there...
Cavs putting it on Phoenix early, up 10. They are a different team with a healthy Garland.
Speaking from experience, Suns can come back from down by more than 10.
Here's to hoping they don't!
True. everyone in the clevelandsphere wondering what's happened and sometimes it's that simple.
Man I’m glad we’re not playing them rn lol

Seems like we were 1 point away from winning at the Raptors in regulation, and 2 from winning at Suns, so three total points from winning the last 7
Well, one point away from winning in regulation in Toronto and lost to Phoenix by one point. That gives us seven games, not sure about an 8th.
Yeah, but that's shy by both a point and a game
Three points and seven games it is
I'll chalk it up to EA flashy-thinging himself after the blown Portland game along with a classic off-by-one error for point totals
What flashy thing?
The two hardest things in programming are cache invalidation, naming things and off-by-one errors

OK, I know what you used to do at some point.
That little tool is perfectly round...hard to know which way you're aiming it
🎉🍷
I just wanted to tell you all that I love you
We Love you too! We love the win. And I love the Stephesque PODZ 3's. 5 of 7 on 3!!! And some real beauties. Like the 1 footer with 1 sec.
