Totally random note. Does anyone know what the type of mask both coaching staffs were wearing? Want to try some out.

After thinking it over, it may be good that we lost this. This is the first game where we had a high probability of winning and choked. Usually it's the other way around. Only way to learn to win these games is to lose them first!

The last 5:20, Steph scores 8, rest of dubs score 0. Orlando scores 18. I guess you’ve got to hand it to Orlando for locking in on D and making tough shots, but with all the double teaming on Steph, somebody else has got to hit a shot. I bet this one hurts for the dubs, but the are fun to watch, and every game seems within reach. 3rd quarter was pretty exceptional, I loved Wiggins and Oubre running the floor together.

Kerr made a couple of crucial mistakes today, but perhaps the one that irritates me the most is why play Wanamaker over Baze with the starters in that small stint in the 4th? I'd be really annoyed if I was Bazemore since he won us last game and was not rewarded today. It would make sense if Wanamaker was actually doing something, but he was the same as always.

It probably wouldn't have changed the outcome though. That's where Kerr's other mistake of running plays for Oubre and Wiggins instead of Steph came through.

2 TOs and a foul in the last 2 mins, not good. They played some tough D on Steph.

Ouch. Needed this one if we expect to avoid the play-in games. Good job fighting back from the big deficits, but Fournier, Ross, and Vucevic hit some pretty incredible shots. 4 more games on this hugely important 6 game swing. 1-1 so far.

Big oof.

I thought the Dubs mostly played ok, but Fournier and Vucevic were both just hard to stop. Great job hammering back into the game, but this one felt uphill the whole time

Wow, tough loss to inferior competition. That hurts. Props to the Magic. Too many careless errors by the Dubs.

Some thoughts/observations:

* If Oubre’s current ascension and Wiggins’ offensive descension/plateauing hold throughout the season, what are the chances that Oubre would supplant Wiggins next season? Wiggs’ is a little bigger and his defense would be hard to let go of, but his lack of fire and passion hurts his game and the team’s. Oubre would be cheaper and Meyers could get some decent assets by trading Wiggs. Hopefully, tho, Wiggins’ 3p shooting doesn’t continue to dip. Should be fun watching that internal competition the rest of the season.

* One thing Oubre could do to improve is to become a little more ambidextrous. He’s way too left-hand dominant; makes a lot of his layups unnecessarily awkward.

* Love the all-around team contribution, even tho everything still constellates around Steph. That's a proven winning formula.

* Glad Brad had a decent game. First in a while; hope he strings a few together. Sucks that the bar is so low for him, tho.

So close to a win but we don't keep our pick if we win too many of these close ones. So... silver lining.

This one hurt. Not going to lie. Thought we finally had three in a row.

Good fight though by the undersized guys down low. On to the next one.

Worst loss so far IMO. All of those games where we were waxed it was meant to be but tonight they had a chance and just blew it. First double digit blown lead of the season?
