How sweet it is! KLAY THOMPSON: Never underestimate the heart of a HOF 4-RING CHAMPION! Always a notorious slow starter, Klay will be a starter till he starts walking with a cane!
Warriors join the Play-In!! Above .500, finally. 5 wins in a row. If we keep winning the games we should win, we'll be fine and we might even secure a playoff berth. With the resurrection of the Splash Bros plus the muscle up of our 4 young guns, this team will upset some of the better teams in the league, for sure. But, I'm going to make a bold statement here. The Warriors will lose to some top teams on occasion. This season is fun, once again.
This may have been Looney's best game of the year. Limiting his minutes could up his effectiveness in the matchups he makes sense for (Sabonis, Ayton, Sengun, Jokic, etc).
Edited to say, the 2nd game of the season v Sac was probably better, but still...
If I'd told you before the season that we'd be without Draymond, Wiggins and GPII, and that Steph would go 2-7 from three and we'd win by 20, you would have said ha! You would have added ha!
This draft class is like the 2021 draft class for the Pelicans. Not sure if Podz can be as good as Murphy but the immediate infusion of depth has been similar.
Podz already has more of an impact on his team than Murphy. In fact, he is showing signs of being a triple double player. Starting with Steph seems to have propelled him onto center stage and he is ready for it. Plus, he hasn't come anywhere near his ceiling, yet.
Shoutout to all of you that kept pointing to the schedule. I honestly thought this was a below average ballclub. Yall have refined your observations last couple of years. I remember when we all migrated over there were some doozies of opinions
Yeah the Warriors are winning against bad teams on the road, bad/decent teams at home, and stealing a win against a great team at home without Draymond and it's all nice because they needed to.
But the real test of the Draymond-less Warriors is how they perform against a good opponent on the road.
> That was their point. Kuminga is the prize and he’s less of a fit on the Warriors than Podz.
It's that, it's also the upcoming extension, and it's also that I don't see why I should expect that Kuminga is going to be more useful in the playoffs than Moody this season.
I'm not against trading any or all of the kids for the right guy, and I agree with you that Markkanen is the right guy.
I'd say there have been more games this season where Moody has been better than Kuminga, although I'd agree Kuminga has been better lately as Moody has hit a shooting slump. But that's not really the point, it's more of a skillset argument. The playoffs are about versatility and taking advantage of weaknesses and imo Kuminga has more concerns in those departments.
Is Siakam really an upgrade over JK at this point? two weeks ago I would've said yes, now I'm no longer sure. And losing CP3 on top of that... just doesn't make much sense.
To each their own. I think Siakam getting traded to the Warriors would be like when Pau was traded to the Lakers lol. But given the GM and the future finances, very difficult for me to see it happening.

Missed the game but Woot!

ha! ha!
Hey, was there anything in particular you liked this evening?
Splash, splash.
Perhaps pertaining to the outcome of the most recent sporting match?
saving it for the post game thread
Like the part where we won, perhaps?
Are you sure I wouldn't have said, "Wait, is it against the Lillardless Blazers?"
I'd probably ask if we were playing the Blazers or Wizards and then say, "okay that makes sense"
And if I'd told you that Podz would have gone for 16-10-7 and showed you TJDs stats as well?
That would have blown my mind, yes
Jinx
It feels great to blow out the Wizards and Blazers. It feels like we didn’t have any blowouts last year, not even the games against bad teams
*last month

I like Podz but I think you are severely underrating Murphy here tbh. Did you know that Murphy was 50/40/90 last season, for instance?
EDIT: Sorry, it was 60/40/90 using 2P% but actually he takes so many threes that the FG% was 48%. But still, he's an elite shooter with great size.
But he doesn't have red hair!
His confidence is Poole level without all the bullshit.
15-14. Imagine that.

We also can’t get carried away with these wins over bad teams. Celtics was a good win. Hopefully on Christmas we’re competitive at the very least

Yay, we win by a lot.
Gui's from the southern hemisphere, so his tornado move spins in the opposite direction.
What can CP/MM/FRP get in a trade?
As Timpf and Esfandiari said, MM is a nice player, but teams aren’t likely to be that excited about him.
Sounds like they should trade Kuminga then
BOO!
That was their point. Kuminga is the prize and he’s less of a fit on the Warriors than Podz.
I wouldn’t trade him in a deal for Siakim, but would for Markenen
> That was their point. Kuminga is the prize and he’s less of a fit on the Warriors than Podz.

> I don't see why I should expect that Kuminga is going to be more useful in the playoffs than Moody this season.
Because he's been playing a whole lot better than Moody?
I'd say there have been more games this season where Moody has been better than Kuminga, although I'd agree Kuminga has been better lately as Moody has hit a shooting slump. But that's not really the point, it's more of a skillset argument. The playoffs are about versatility and taking advantage of weaknesses and imo Kuminga has more concerns in those departments.
As a pure win now move I could see that (Markanen) making sense but man that would suck
The nice thing about Markkanen is that he’s only 26, so wouldn’t necessarily be just “win now.”
I don’t think I’d part with JK for either Markkanen or Siakam, but I’m closer to a grudging “yes” on Markkanen.
Is Siakam really an upgrade over JK at this point? two weeks ago I would've said yes, now I'm no longer sure. And losing CP3 on top of that... just doesn't make much sense.
I think Siakam is a massive upgrade over Kuminga but I don't really think a Siakam trade is happening
An upgrade for this year, sure, but I don't think it's massive. Kuminga is younger, cheaper and getting better. Siakam is a FA to be. I wouldn't.
Yeah, I do think it's a massive upgrade but Siakam would certainly be gone after this season so I'm not advocating for the move really, I'm agnostic.
Really not gonna agree with massive.
To each their own. I think Siakam getting traded to the Warriors would be like when Pau was traded to the Lakers lol. But given the GM and the future finances, very difficult for me to see it happening.
or not.
yeah that makes sense. the guy is trash
yah - but I can't stomach the idea of trading any of the other young guys.
Look to Philadelphia. Im guessing Harris back
How fun is weed? It took me a full minute to figure out who FRP is.
Frayce Rackson-Pavis
I read this in a Scooby voice.
lol. very fun.
Kinda depends on the strain but yes.
Why is Moody in? Where is LQ? Maybe Moods needs the minutes.
Didn't look like LQ was active for this game
exactly.
Moods is barely seeing the floor.
Moody stat padding - obviously
Hey, he needs to stat his pads.
I feel bad for Moody. His minutes have been reduced and now he’s playing with the third stringers.
Draymond getting suspended hurt him more than anyone else on the team I think
How does that work?
Because Draymond is the only ballhandler on the team with size, all the other ballhandlers are guards which directly cuts into Moody's playing time.
