There's only really three things these Warriors are abysmal at.
1) They give up a ton of rebounds. You hope that improves with Wiseman's growth, but Paschall at center (or even Dray at center) lineups are always gonna struggle there due to size.
2) They give up a lot of FTs. Wiseman of course is the biggest culprit, but Wiggins, Bazemore, Oubre aggression seem to give up some silly fouls every game and get us to the bonus. Those ones you just have to live with.
3) The starting lineup is digging a lot of holes. 126 minutes at -16 rating is just a really, really hard anchor to carry. The key to this lineup turning it around is Oubre and Wiseman.
So it's nothing we don't know but we go as far as Wiseman develops. Man, just imagine if we could have had Gasol and Batum on this team. And if Klay had stayed healthy, we might have both. Truly unfortunate.
Alex Len is getting waived. Could possibly replace Smiley with him maybe? Would be nice to have another big body. Depends on when Chriss can come back and if they plan on using the DPE and if Len would be any good.
"The Lakers led by as many as 19 in the first quarter and carried an 11-point advantage into the fourth. And then they lost. A LeBron-led team had, according to Stats LLC, taken a double-digit advantage into the fourth quarter 284 times while playing at home. Until Monday, they’d never lost one of those games in regulation. "
Not sure how accurate this is, but apparently GS with the 6th best bench in the NBA currently. Considering that the bench hadn't been fully "unlocked" the first few games of the season, I imagine their rank will improve.
I know most people here going get mad. But there has to be a discussion at some point about moving on from Dray for EP. yeh yeh I know what your going say. I think at the end of the season it needs to be evaluated.
Curry/Oubre/Wiggins/Draymond were +15 with Looney last night and -15 with Wiseman. Imagine this team with an NBA quality starting center.
Also, the Paschall and Looney combo was -7. I shudder to think how we'd be talking about Paschall right now if Chriss never got hurt and we didn't discover that he was actually a center. I think this was the first time Oubre played smallball 4 (only one of Draymond, Looney, or Paschall on the floor), and the Warriors were +10 in those minutes. They should give up on the Paschall/Looney combo and give those minutes to Oubre instead.
Remember all the "Warriors have no one who can guard AD" comments from Warrior fans who have watched Draymond for his entire career and should know better? Draymond doesn't even look 100% and yet he and Looney turned AD into a jumpshooter (again).
The Warrior matchup problem with the Lakers is LeBron, not AD. Wiggins and Oubre were playing some inspired defense on him though.
I was afraid of this. When LeBaby takes an L this big, the NBA's LeBitch Rules kick in. (Think reverse Jordan Rules.) Now Curry's teammates will have to be suspended for the next game against the Lakers so LeFraud has a chance of winning.
The bench pulled the W’s back into the game twice! That Oubre with the bench lineup was interesting with him actually playing well tonight. AD is a freaking monster, but Paschall and Co. just kept coming.
I thought the Lakers might be tempted to mail it in but they came out playing hard. Steph had an off game, Wiseman’s playing like a highschooler, and the rest of the Warriors made this win possible.
Anyone else feeling like this might kickstart Oubre into his better self? Thanks for those extra few days of practice!
Game 13. GSW 115, LAL 113. Lakers f around and find out

All things being equal, last 11 games for all teams (j.e. ignoring nets and bucks games for us),
GSW OFFRTG = 14th, DEFRTG = 12th, NETRTG = 11th.

1. Dray misses first 2 games of the season, Warriors set an NBA record for all time worst point differential through 2 games.
2. Dray comes back and the flow on both sides of the ball improve over night to the point where we're beating LA super teams
3. Time to move on from Dray

Time and time again people seem to underestimate Draymond's ability to affect a game to WIN

Jessup 24 points 4-4 from 3 in NBL game. Looks real good in highlights
"Schroder flops like a salmon, Steph 3." Poetry. lol

I really want to keep Oubre but the problem is he'll be coming off the bench next year which I'm guessing he won't be fine with.

And Wiggins is a two way stud!
