Kyrie still hasn't talked to the team about his absence supposedly, and Harden is doing a fantastic job of burning every single bridge in the greater Houston metropolitan area.

Trade one mask-less wonder for another. Great. But if the Rockets are getting Kyrie, why would they get a ton of picks too? OK Harden is worth more but that much more? Hmmm.
If they take Kyrie, the Rockets will really have gone through damn near everyone on my Least Favorite NBA Players list in just a few seasons.
But the reigning leader of that list is doing a pretty great job of tanking his trade value, which could almost be a calculated strategy to leave his new team in better shape, almost. With everything we know about the beard, though, he's not thinking light years ahead, he's just oblivious to the mirror.
He probably thinks he did more than anyone could be expected to do, what with scoring really big numbers in regular season games, actually ruining the game (in a bad way), and so on. But he's a quitter and a terrible leader. Contrast with, "We will figure this out, I promise." In the postseason, not every strategy works as well; Steph has to deal with getting grabbed more, but he works through it. Harden has to deal with not getting so many cheap fouls, and he sulks. He's mad he doesn't get what he thinks he deserves. Well, it looks like a life lesson is coming to its painful conclusion: sometimes you get exactly what you actually deserve, which is very different.
Sorry, I probably shouldn't go so hard on the schadenfreude, but it's that kinda day.
