Eric, I have missed these so much this year. But more than E1P when you are working for the Warriors organization could you throw us some celebration audits. That said how about tonight. Let's celebrate! And man of man if you strung together all the smiles against the Clippers. It was epic! Gui always smiles, but Bradin? Wowee. Hope there's more tonight.
From a nice piece by Dieter Kurtenbach in the Mercury News:
"What would you give to be young again?
To recapture the feeling — that vital, invincible energy — of being in your prime?
Even if it was only for one night?
I don’t know what kind of mystic wager Steph Curry and Draymond Green — with their bad knees, tight backs, loose ankles, and more gray in the beards and above their ears than they’d like to see — made before the Warriors’ win-or-go-home play-in tournament game against the Clippers.
But on Wednesday night, they experienced just that.
And they were kind enough to bring us along for the ride."
[Charania] "Team sources told me Draymond Green was sick, he was throwing up, puking all over the place in pregame, sideline in the back area by the locker room"
Reminds me of the story about Bill Russell. He would puke before important games. His teammates would smile at each other and say "We're gonna be good tonight, Bill is throwing up!"
Even Kawhi acknowledged Green in his postgame interview saying Green is a Hall of Famer defender. But it was interesting to know that Green was actually ill last night. Per The Athletic:
“And Green did it while battling illness. His congestion was severe enough to warrant a chest X-ray. Before the game, he needed a nebulizer to help him breathe. When he subbed out in the first quarter, Green had both hands on his head, too fatigued to hide it.”
I was thinking about how Dray and Kawhi are polar opposite personalities during the game, and then watching Green on the bench in the second half looking totally unexpressive at times didn't make sense - but if he was sick, it makes a lot more sense.
Small detail: with 5:40 left in the game, when Steph drove in and passed out to Horford at the three point line, I’m so glad Steph turned around for the pass to make sure where Al was rather than no look pass it behind him as he is wont to do. A TO at that point would have been fatal.
After all the slander of Draymond I had to read from Dubs fandom this year, it was cathartic to see him have the game that he did against old nemesis Kawhi and the always-pesky Clips. He is getting his well-deserved hosannas today from fans, analysts, and former players and I'm eating up every last bit. The greatest defender of his generation is not done completely wrecking offensive game-plans and opposing stars just yet, any more than Steph is done putting on explosive fireworks displays in huge moments. DPOYmond lives, and he's coming for your lunch. Enjoy your time in the sun until friday's game Dillon, I have a feeling you're about to get sonned
I think he needs a play with at least bit of that 'unregulated' TBH ... On the radio I heard he picked up a technical, and the announcer couln't see closely so was not sure why, but it certainly didn't faze him or his teammates.
If you get T'd up in the play-in, does it even count?
The stats don't end up anywhere, I don't see why the techs should either lol
FWIW Dray got dinged when he was shrugging demonstrably to Crew Chief James Williams after an extended conversation during a dead ball/timeout. The gist of that, I believe, was about how the Dubs weren't getting the same whistle that Clips were getting, or something along those lines.
Yeah, I wondered about that ... probably 2 techs in one game would get an ejection, but not sure they would count as part of an aggregate limit for the playoffs.

Anyone ever report on why Steph went to the locker twice during the game? Just the runs?
Injury report is out. Draymond isn't on it but KP is (Questionable).

46 seconds left is where you see the Warriors have stolen Darius Garland’s soul.
It really looked to me like once Curry hit the 3 to put the Warriors up 120-117 the Clippers knew they were cooked.
SC30 + very tall floor stretcher is still a cheat code
They ran that beautiful split cut off of Draymond with KP popping out and then hitting Steph for a layup. More of that, please!
“HORFORD KNOCKS DOWN THE THREE! THREE IN A ROW HERE IN THE FOURTH! TWO POINT GAME!”
This game we really got to see how good KP and Steph are together
True and I don't even know if we've even close to the bottom of the bag of tricks that can spring forth!
I don't believe *those two* have even had the time to explore all that can be explored
But the possibilities are tantalizing indeed
This is really inspirational Apricot. Thank you for this!!
Draymond was sick yesterday.

Great perseverance… but now I’m worried that Dray made everyone else sick
He definitely made the Clips, particularly Kawhi, sick last night.
In the past, we've known that Kerr is sometimes "sick of all of Dray's $&i#"
Might have been food poisoning or another gastrointestinal issue. I can't imagine they would send him out there if he was contagious with something.
Bro got to spend multiple nights in a row in LA 😂
Pray for quick recovery Dray, and stay away from those supposedly gross nachos in PHX arena
Contagious and vomiting is a bad combo…

Lol. JB: "Will Richards didn't really do anything. BUT! He was over there with me cheering his heart out."
I was skeptical, but I thoroughly respect MDJ for standing on his commitment to not trade JBIII
“BEWARE: ROUGH WATERS AHEAD” lol
Put 'em to bed!!!

I wonder how he’ll be on Friday.
Dray still had enough energy to draw a T
So… Kawhi to the bay?

Sitting down to watch the replay
🦄 slam off missed ft was my first oh shit moment
See @Alan Greenberg's post below.
This should be required rewatching for the diest of die hard fans, made even more cathartic by the all the injuries and drama of this season.

There needs to be some matrix that shows which version of Draymond you get.
[Unregulated vs Regulated] X [Regular Season Game vs Relegation Game]

At the very least, I'm sure the fine is real lol
Oh Absolutely (no mock). Even Kerr, who played with Dennis Rodman, knows, 'there is no Genius without a touch of madness...
