Wonder if the Clips would do Klay + unprotected 2026 1st rounder for PG13. Klay is probably the perfect 3rd option if they want to let Harden run the show with Kawhi..
Klay has been remarkably durable save for his two back-to-back injuries. Paul George is regularly hurt. Setting sentiment and chemistry aside I’m not sure that’s a good trade for the Warriors.
Yeah. When I see trade proposals like that (Dubs get an oft-injured player who hasn't won anything for an Ironman with 4 rings) it makes me think of the married heterosexual man or woman who's looking to make it with every good-looking person of the opposite sex. No concern with the implications for their vows or the long-term. Just "Hey, that's hot! Lemme have somma that!"
I'd love to get PG13 but I don't see that deal happening. Klay's on an expiring contract, so unless they're doing that deal just for the duration of this season (which the Dubs aren't likely to do), it would be a sign and trade next summer, which hard caps the Clips, unless that rule changed with the new CBA. Westbrook has a player option for next season, so they're probably stuck with him. Harden's on an expiring deal; the Clips must believe they can re-sign him but it's Harden. And I don't see why Klay would be a better fit for them than PG13. Plus Kawhi and PG13 are buds. So I can't see the Clips doing that.
I didn't see the whole game but he had two really ticky tack fouls, too. I also wonder why they're playing him in deep drop... I thought one of his strengths was his lateral quickness at his size
Shooting question: Looney had a jump shot at UCLA, but rarely, if ever tries to score outside of the basket area now. Presumably, when he came to the Warriors, he fell into the plan for him, which was to be a screener, rebounder, rim protector, etc.
TJD, in an interview, said that Wooden told him not to shoot. So does this mean he cannot, despite having a good free-throw percentage (now) or that he was just supposed to play his role and let others on the Wooden team shoot? Any way to tell?
BTW looking at the Dale Davis highlight video, you can see him doing the exact same moves as TJG last night, same body movement, etc. uncanny. We all know that he wore number 32, right?
Ah.. hmm well he's 8/14 with the big club... I think his FT% will probably level out to ~70% where it was in his last year of college. I'd call this totally fine for a big man, but not so good that I'm dying to see him start shooting 3's..
My question was whether or not his history at Indiana or his current shooting is any indication that he can or cannot shoot jump shots ? He only attempted one 3 pointer at Indiana, so clearly this is not his forte.
A lot to like about Santos' game, but needs to show that his three ball is a bit more consistent and needs to have a bit more of a plan when he drives sometimes beyond just "I'll figure it out after I jump" lol.

Now we all have RATIONAL good feeling about TJD. Who says no?
Mavs announcer Brian Dameris went off on James Haren 👀

Ooof - that was something - well done
Epic!
Great finish there too. Way to stick the landing.
Wow! Epic beat down.
Lakers beat the Suns 122-119 and get their first road win of the season. Both teams are now 4-5.
Say it again
Kings beat the Thunder 105-98. Kings move to 4-4 while the Thunder fall to 5-4.
I don't get that second 3-second foul on Usman. He passed out of the key, and was out within 2 seconds, yet got whistled.
Agree. I didn't get it either.
I didn't see the whole game but he had two really ticky tack fouls, too. I also wonder why they're playing him in deep drop... I thought one of his strengths was his lateral quickness at his size
I hope he's coachable and we really work to develop him, because there's a good foundation there.
Yah, I saw that, too. it was really deep.
LeBron being this good at age 38 is kinda mind-boggling. Hope Steph ages like this (has until now at least).
I would really like to take those supplements he is taking
cryogenics baby!
39 next month. It is truly mind-boggling.
Suns so trash.
Jusuf Nurkic just ran one of the the worst 3v1 fastbreaks I've ever seen.
Imagine TJD with a 3p shot
That would be cool, but when I was looking at TJD college stats, it stood that he didn’t make a single 3pt shot in 4 years.

sorry, who has a good free-throw percentage now?
TJD last night 3/3.

It's not gonna happen
I could see a PJ Tucker style corner set shot down the road.
This is the bargaining stage
LOL. :)
That was great.
Even without a 3p shot... imagine TJD as the 57th pick turning into the second coming of Kevon Looney with a much bigger catch radius.
and vertical
I believe catch radius includes vert
He would be starter level. But he also would have never fallen (way) out of the lottery to us
Unless he, MDJ and his brother colluded to hide his 3-point shooting for four (light) years.
The long Long Game
I hope he shoots a thousand of those every day next off season. Would be the perfect fit.
We'll just to imagine :) He hasn't even tried anything from the midrange with the big club yet.
His FT stroke looks smooth
TJD: 28 pts (11-13 fg) / 12 reb / 1 ast / 0 tov
Podz: 24 pts (10-18 fg) / 7 reb / 4 ast / 2 tov
Gui: 19 pts (6-14 fg) / 3 reb / 4 ast / 0 tov
Fireworks over TJD Atoll.

Warriors beating the Kings in every which way :-) TJD looking like a man among boys.
28 and 12!
Pods 24/7/4 and a nasty puffy eye
That follow by TJD (about 2 in the 4th) ... really good. He has great body control.
Sooo many alley oops to TJD in the game tonight.
Ugh, looks like Podz took a pretty serious blow to the face/eye. He might miss a couple games.
That was ugly
nvm, he's back in. Toughness!
hope they gave him a concussion check.
They already make enough money.
