I was thinking about the game last night, and just keep remembering how much energy and force the warriors played with. I’m pretty sure most nights in the playoffs they really do try to bring it. But it’s interesting how some nights it’s there and some nights it ain’t. Here hoping we can bring it down to LA and take this thing to seven.

When I was a kid on the playground, it was considered a foul to shout suddenly as someone is taking a shot. Does anyone know if this is an actual rule at any level of organized ball? Because if it's not, I would want Warrior defenders to do it more. Obviously NBA shooters are not easily rattled, but there is some minimal percent of increased hesitation when I suddenly scream an obscenity about your family, and that's the kind of edge we could feel super proud of.

So here's the thing I think is missing in the discussion re: AD.

AD almost certainly wants to play. The Lakers obviously want him to play.

So, skirting the protocol and not putting him into it allows both of those things to come true.

The universe in which the CBA has a concussion protocol that forces mandatory rest after a diagnosed concussion was made in one where the players bargained for their own collective health and well being so that teams/society/other players/themselves wouldn't push someone to play with a concussion thereby putting the player at immense life threatening risk.

In this situation, skirting it allows both AD and the Lakers to sidestep that philosophy, put AD's long term health at risk and fight for the 'chip.

Was it ethical for the team doctors to not put him in the concussion protocol? That's another question, and probably the most pertinent one at hand. AD and the team are just acting in their own perceived self-interest.

A lot of people wondering whether this will be Deandre Ayton's last game with Phoenix. No one knows for sure. But ever since Monty soured on him it after the 2021 playoffs it has seemed like a change at some point was inevitable. DA not an alpha like Book, KD, Paul and somewhat sensitive. So when Monty failed to show up at his contract signing at the facility or even call him afterwards it showed DA that Monty did not want him on the roster. Still may be hard to trade 3 years at that money. Only time will tell.

Jamal Murray did not participate in shootaround. Nuggets will see how he feels later today for Game 6 and are hopeful. There’s a bug going through the Nuggets and a handful of players and Michael Malone have felt under the weather recently. They cut shootaround short this morning

Uncle Alc: "They weren't going to put him in concussion protocol, whether he was concussed or not."

"We already know [AD's] motor and competitive spirit goes up and down and now if he truly is concussed, to ask him to go out there on that stage and that intensity, what type of AD are you going to get?"

I'm worried about AD. If they play him tomorrow and he was concussed, bad things could happen. And I'm not a doctor, but I have a hard time believing he wasn't concussed based on the symptoms he exhibited. Also, fuck Shaq, Chuck, and SAS for laughing at him.

I think the most frustrating thing about Poole is he has the athleticism to be a much better defender. He easily has the quickness and chops to move laterally at a good pace and funnel defenders down the sideline into help. He just doesn't. Too often, he's like a traffic cone out there.
