If Dubs win out, the worst they could finish is 5th. But first let's just beat the Spurs tomorrow evening. Any chance they can keep from being down 10-12 in the first quarter?

There is a zero percent chance the Warriors win out. Zero.

Expand full comment

That’s not accurate. Highly unlikely, sure.

Expand full comment

Only 9 games, definitely higher than zero. I'd expect it is more likely than the Bulls win over the Lakers.

At which point of the game? Which game? 🥳😂🤣

Moody, Podz, Hield, and Post will need to hit their jump shots, while Butler and JK will need to go to the rim to draw fouls and get FTs.

I'm tellin' ya the Grizz are dead meat. Next up they face:

At home for Boston

GSW at our house

@Miami

@Detroit

@Charlotte

@Denver

Home for Dallas

That's four or five very tough games. We are only a game and a half back on them and own the tie breaker. Of course the game against them figures to be a big big one.

We've got six tough games in our closing nine, too.

Personally, I'm thinking 6-3 is going to be a pretty good closing stretch. Won't get us to the 6 seed, the way the Clips and Twolves are playing, but c'est la vie.

Expand full comment

I'd say it all depends in our game against them if we pass them or not. On the off chance we lose I can already see the massive disappointment we'd all have, so just win baby

The Grizzlies are at home, though a B2B against the Warriors., but still their schedule looks brutal all the way to the last game against the Mavs.

If the Ws can't get up for that game, I'm not quite sure what to say. They have to come in ready.

Expand full comment

They need to get ready to beat the Spurs first. San Antonio made the Cavs and the Celtics work hard for their wins recently, so the Spurs will not go down easily tomorrow.

Grizz will be facing the Dubs on a segababa after the Celts. The Dubs need to take advantage.

Lakers beat the Grizzlies 134-127. Lakers move up to 45-29 while the Grizzlies fall to 44-30. Lakers are 3-1 against the Grizzlies this season.

Vancouver should put in Big Country for some defense.

Going way back. Kudos.

Not that far back for some.

I was 83 years old when his career began.

I like that Reeves!

Expand full comment

Looks like the Lakers are going to get this one. Asher's dreams come true!

Expand full comment

I never said that!!!

I'm excited at a Memphis loss. Scurrilous accusations

Expand full comment

You said you were cheering for LeBron...

... and Austin Reeves

Expand full comment

Can't believe no one outbid the RFA contract for Reeves, such a bargain.

Expand full comment

I refuse to like him.

Expand full comment

He is definitely my least favorite Austin

Kate from Lost has got to be up there.

Although I think she might be an Austen, do those count?

Expand full comment

Can't believe Nico didn't demand him as part of the trade

8.6 seconds left. Bulls thinking, hey that's enough for 2 or 3 baskets

Celtics beat the Spurs 121-111. Even though the Spurs lost to the Celtics and the Cavs, they gave both of these teams work hard for their wins. So I expect the Spurs to play very well tomorrow night. And I hope the Warriors are ready.

Spurs are playing pretty well against the Celtics.

Expand full comment

Good, lots of minutes for the starters, just as we requested!

Expand full comment

38 mins for Vassell, 35 for CP3, 34 for Johnson, 31 for Sochan, and 30 for Castle. Everyone else (Barnes, Mamukelashvili, Champagnie, and Wesley) got less than 30.

Some of those Memphis drives to the hoop are just ja dropping

But there's no W in Ja

Noice!

Expand full comment

Okay, I'll play, yes that was pretty funny

Expand full comment

Thank you. I'm glad I didn't have to beg.

Expand full comment

That's really funny, good job.

No one else is saying it so I guess I have to.

It's a foul by LeBron. No, it's a challenge. No, it's a flop by JJJ!

Expand full comment

Yeah you don't see that all that often

Expand full comment

More often than the reverse - a foul by JJJ reversed into a flop by LeBron.

I haven't read all the comments yet but has anyone yet pointed out that the Lepricon Frolic was in fact a Whaler Sailor's Jig? It's a common error, so no harm no foul.

LAL is coughing up another big lead (down to 2). I know we're supposed to root for them [ because the Asher tells me so! ], but it would be very sweet for them to cough up two improbable losses in a row.

Expand full comment

I NEVER SAID THAT.

I said root against Memphis. There is all the difference in the world.

Expand full comment

As long as both teams end up embarrassed and demoralized, I can accept it

Quadruple overtime was invented for a reason.

In the Elite Eight, possible GSW draft targets Darrion WIlliams (20-5-3) and JT Toppin (20-11) were excellent, but other draft target Walter Clayton Jr was even better (30-2-4) to advance FLA to the Final Four.

Expand full comment

If the league lets Clayton drop to us, it's their own fault. Don't wanna hear any whining or changing CBAs again to target specifically the Warriors.

Expand full comment

In the other game Duke has Sion James and Tyrese Proctor who will be in the GSW range, and Alabama has Mark Sears — who is a brilliant player but too short to make the Apricot Draft Tourney.

If Luka's butt gets any bigger, we're going to have to start calling him BadonkaDoncic.

no idea. And, he may have lost a few. But he's still a big boy.
