Lately I've been feeling kind of disappointed when I realize Apricot is about to explain the celebrations (rather than the play) and this video made me realize why: it's normally indicative that the video is almost over! But this time, you caught me by surprise with the crossover from the GPII twirling dismount into the next play. Glad you're adding new options to your playbook.

Has any pair of additions to a team in the NBA been better than OPJ and Bjelly?!! They have been amazing.

Hot take: all of these Explain One Play videos are just going to end up making life easier for whoever needs to gameplan against the Warriors in the playoffs.

Solution: Start throwing in some decoy E1P videos to throw off the coaching staff of other teams who undoubtedly are going to be using these as one of their greatest game prep tools come the playoffs.

Just spitballing here, but maybe create a video with carefully cherrypicked examples showing how leaving Curry open at the three point line is really totally the best way to play defense on him. Maybe we need a video about how Draymond can't guard bigs and so challenging him on D is the best way to score.

Oh, and PLEASE make a video about how Wiggins shooting midrange jumpers is our secret weapon and how other teams should sell out completely on D to stop him from taking those shots. I think that would do all of us a big favor.

Apricot, you are a basketball treasure. The analysis of GP2's squat celebration and twirling dismount is pure joy. Great job.

Thanks OPJ. He seemed like the only guy on the floor not distracted by the Curry record chase. The EOPs are great, especially when we get the high 5 and celebration diagrams. Better than watching last night's game - which put the lack in lackluster. Their left Achilles Heel has always been 'what to do when the 3s aren't falling.' In playoff bball, you have to be able to hunt 2s aggressively, be it at the rim (getting guys to foul line and MAKING foul shots) or getting clean mid-range looks off simple sets (Mark West elbow jumper or Livingston iso baseline 12 footer). Warriors can get a little 3-happy, but come playoff time, we need to be able to get to some reliable mid-range looks. Curry especially. I haven't seen so many bad misses from him as I have seen recently. It's a 3 or drive right now with little in between. The hidden value in the 2 is that it is made with a higher frequency than the 3 which makes the other team take the ball out of the basket and allows your defense to get set more often. This plays right into their strength.

My point of emphasis for next 19 games: D-up and turn the mid-range up to 11.
