Explain 1 Play: Warriors rookie Jonathan Kuminga contains Knicks star Julius Randle. Part 2, Defense
Just be thankful I didn't make this a 37 part Tiktok

Stephen Curry got the media attention for his breaking the all-time threes record in the 2021.12.14.GSW-NYK game, but quietly Jonathan Kuminga was making his most significant contributions so far in his rookie year.
In this video, we’ll look at how Kuminga is fitting into the defensive schemes. Here we see Kuminga play tough man-to-man defense, zone defense, drop defense against the pick and roll, and double team blitzing. For the most part he made good decisions, though he rotated oddly in a couple of plays. In general, it was promising.
Co-starring Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green, Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins and Gary Payton II. Also with Derrick Rose, Mitchell Robinson, Julius Randle, Evan Fournier.

Obviously, Kuminga is struggling a bit more with the offense than the defense... seems like it would be a major improvement to just be on point knowing what are the plays, where to be, and what screens to set. Takes time and reps in the system... watching the games in the G League, he's not getting reps in the system there, so hope he's getting that in the Klay scrimmages.
ok, furiously updated as much as I could. Preview is now a mess, but I thought we would want everything in the body of the article: https://dubnationhq.com/p/preview-warriors-celtics-and-the?justPublished=true
