I really, really hope that Kevin Love really does get bought out. He's basically a better Bjelica. We'd basically be last year's team with DDV instead of OPJ and a year's growth for JK/Poole and a year's decline for Steph/Dray/Klay. But I just can't see the motivation from Cle's perspective. At worst, he'll be their 2015 David Lee.
Seems on the surface like a logjam of guards; but I can see plenty of lineups with Payton or DDV as the de facto 3, since both rebound like forwards and can defend 1-3. Klay is also also basically a forward these days, more suited to banging with the Paul Georges and Kawhis of the world than to chasing little guys around the perimeter.
Steph, JP and Ty are the 1-2s; Wiggs and Kuminga move up ladder a lot of the time to the 4; Green, Loon, and JaMychal are the 5s.
Losing James is a little sad, to be sure, but we still got a veritable playpen full of kids (JP, JK, MM, PBJ, RR) to keep us warm.
Help I’m emotionally confused. Help send help. Do I miss Wiseman? Do I feel bad for downplaying his potential? Do I want GPII back this much? Do I care about second round picks? Do I understand the plan? Did my mommy ever truly love me? Helllpppp I’m lost….
Wiseman will be good in 3-4 years. In that time we would’ve had to extend him the same time JK n Klay would need an extension. We can’t keep em all. I wish the best for him, we just didn’t have the minutes for him here to develop.
No. I disdain their superior ways. We therapists are sturdy of-the-people types. It’s kind of like we’re hobbits and they’re wizards. Sure they’re more powerful, but with whom do you feel more comfortable?
This is how I feel. I am ecstatic that GP2 is back home and I understand why the Wiseman deal was made but I feel terrible for the kid. Wish nothing but the best for him.
I feel bad for JW, but he goes to Detroit having hung out with the Warriors for what would have been his sophomore, junior and senior season, so he’s seen how the “pros” do it. He also leaves with $27M and a ring.
Agree. Hard to feel too sorry for guys that make more money in a year than I'll see in a lifetime, but I will say that this seems a terrible miscalculation on the part of the front office/ownership. You can't draft an 18 year old project, then get impatient that they aren't ready to play. If they weren't in for the longer haul, they should have taken someone else.
Curry, Klay, Looney, and Dray are all probably ecstatic to have GP2 back. This could do wonders for team chemistry. Not to mention, renewed faith in the front office to back them up when it matters.
Yup! This is a big part of what I was thinking. Getting GP2 back as a huge positive chemistry guy and getting rid of Wiseman and the unfortunate lodestone of expectations he carries around...
This also buys Moody time to develop this season without pressure and only integrate PBJ next season. I'm not sure I want to see more than one essentially rookie on the roster at a time going forward
I have no feel for his game but can see how PBJ can play Warriors ball. But getting PBJ and Moody into the rotation next year is a quite the task while Kuminga and Poole are still fleshing out their game.
Let Rolllins play in the G-league for another year unless he makes it clear he needs minutes.
The Warriors made a hard push for Raptors forward OG Anunoby at the trade deadline. However, I'm told Masai Ujiri's asking price was too high. Wanted Jonathan Kuminga, others, plus picks.
If OG Anunoby was as skilled as Mikal Bridges, 100% send them JK, Moody, PBJ, and 2 firsts. But he's just not that good. And Brooklyn, call us in the offseason.

Muthasumpin...
GP2?????
Wow, is this gonna take a few minutes to fathom, and longer after the smoke clears.
Welcome home, GP2!!!
Wow.. I made myself go to first comment and read back all the comments. Dang! Looks like I missed some nail-biting excitement.
Welcome back GP2!! Just yesterday I was thinking about GP2 head scratches. Will get to see that again
And Denver got Thomas Bryant from the Lakers so they don't have to use DeAndre Jordan as Jokic's backup anymore. DeAndre may be on the buyout market.
I'm not getting the Kuminga for OG anyway. Lateral move at best and JK is 5 years younger.
Apparently, that wasn’t on the table as far as GSW was concerned. I wonder if PBJ was.
Looks like the Raptors way overvalued all their players.
Sounds like they were mostly gauging the value of their players. Not sure how motivated they were to make a trade.
Agree. Super happy Warriors did not move Kuminga.
How I feel

I disagree that Dray has regrressed
Klay needs to play with his old buddy. Make it happen.
Klay is a year’s progress!
He hasn’t hit his peak yet
Love it.

GP2 is actually a 7fter so I don't see where this talk of a logjam is coming from
Remember when we were comparing DDV to GP2?

fk it buy both

You need a psychologist to help you manage your feelings through this crisis. Know one?
No. I disdain their superior ways. We therapists are sturdy of-the-people types. It’s kind of like we’re hobbits and they’re wizards. Sure they’re more powerful, but with whom do you feel more comfortable?
I mean, it kinda depends upon if there's a Balrog in front of me? But I get your point.
That or if you need to drive the demons out of an old king...

Yes, yes, yes, no, no, no
GP2 had a positive net rating with everyone he played over 100 minutes with on the current roster.
Curry, Klay, Looney, and Dray are all probably ecstatic to have GP2 back. This could do wonders for team chemistry. Not to mention, renewed faith in the front office to back them up when it matters.

Whither Ryan Rollins?

Now if we STILL can't contain dribble penetration then it might be time to starting relieving the coaches in charge of the defense of their duties.
Well, time to take a flamethrower to that permaculture food forest I planted on Wiseman Island. Fuck this. I’m off this rock.
Fires are often good for nature. This island was never intended to be inhabited by us...
OMGOMGOMG I JUST REALIZED!!! THE TABLES HAVE TURNED!
JK now has GP2's number.
One of them is going to have to be triple zero
Switch off the 0s they would say when playing against us.
Holy shit. Imagine playing DDV-GP2-Kuminga/Wiggins-Draymond-Looney together. Welcome to Downtown Clampdown!
But you grow up and you calm down
And you're working for the clampdown...
Perfection.
[And my all-time favorite album.]
Getting more clamped than a sailor on his first shore leave in half a year.

I'm so glad that trade never happened.

I'm not a big profanity guy, but f*** Ujiri for expecting Kuminga.
Me too!!
Especially if “others” included PBJ
Eh, Kuminga is an instant "no" from me.
Right, but I’m wondering if the Warriors tried to make a deal with PBJ instead of Kuminga
Apparently for the FO too. And OG seems to be injured fairly frequently too.
Great great news
Sooooo Happy!!!!
