You can't go through a game with this team where steph doesn't take 1 shot in the first quarter (or maybe he took 1 or 2). Easy for me to say from the sidelines but they know what teams are going to throw at them. They gotta do something
We keep trying to pass around 2 or 3 guys under the basket to get to Wiseman instead of just lobbing it or finding an open man outside. JW can get above those guys, and we can't pass around them. This wasn't the first game where we've tried that, and as Rocky the Squirrel used to say, "That trick never works!"
Well, I was excited for the smallball unit of Curry-DLee-Wiggins-Oubre-Dray, but didn't really do much in either the end of the 1st half nor the end of the game.
I was going to say this regardless of the result so don't think I'm just hating cause we lost but Wiggins has not been good on offense. He's shooting meat 40% on 3s and getting players some nice looks but his ts% is still atrocious
Eh, we know by now he's not a #1 option and he had to force a lot more with Paschall out since he was like the only creator in the second unit.
As long as he keeps defending like this, I'm fine with him being the same old Wiggins on the offensive end. One day in a faraway land Klay will come back, and he'll be the defensive stopper/third option he was destined to be.
Bench unit went from great to horrendous replacing Paschall with Wiseman. Going to be tough for the bench to succeed without Paschall, or really any of the bench guys. But if the Chriss injury never happened, it probably would have looked like this every night.
Bummer to lose, but I loved the activity on defense.
