Did anyone notice just before the start of the Dunk Contest, the camera panned to the Judges row and apparently someone was working on Isiah Thomas seat monitor. When they noticed someone grabbed the poor guy and forcibly dragged him out and they sat Isiah down. It was kind of funny and kind of sad at the same time. For the whole contest that monitor was glitching.
So we all know Steph is never great in the All-Star game. I thought he and Lillard made the game really fun last year, but Steph isn’t usually a good bet to win the All-Star mvp.
Seeing the crowd boo his wife (while booing him) might be just the motivation Steph needs.
I know it was due to COVID but I liked the format of doing it all in one day like last year. Especially in a city like Cleveland and the upcoming destinations. Skills and 3 point before the game and do the dunk contest during halftime. You can do the Rising Star and "celebrity game" on Saturday and it gives players another rest day. Making it just Saturday and Sunday.
Probably a good thing Juan didn’t win. I felt bad for Obi, people walking out of the arena while he’s getting his trophy, having to answer the question “Do you think they should move this before the 3 point competition?” Not much good winning a dunk contest everyone wants to forget I think. (Not that you can’t blame the competitors. Save the drip and just complete a dunk first priority next time).
I knew from the lineup the dunk contest should've been skipped. Either way the NBA has to say no to Cleveland being a host in the future, they only show sign of life when they are booing a Warrior.
I have to admit… I have been so nervous for JTA. I almost did not want him to enter for fear of embarrassing himself. I know he didn’t blow the roof off with any dunks… but damn, I am proud of him. That took guts to go out there. The last dunk was cringey but I just think his athleticism gave out. I would love to see him use this to get his confidence back. I love the guy now more than ever.
Geez, if nothing else he got a basketball signed by Dr. J.
Why the hell did they even invite jta to the dunk contest, cole and toppin would have been s good finals if cole didnt miss so much. If jalen wasnt being dumb and attempting the same dunk 10 times he would have been in the finals
Dunk contest in 1st quarter.

I just wanted to see if anyone else saw that...

If you rate the dunk contest by the picture, this would be #1

If the nba gave away 1 mil either to the players or their charity. Would that fix the dunk contest. Maybe higher profile guys would actually do it
One things for sure. They are bringing back the timer next year.

My favorite line of the night was Dwayne Wade’s “This dunk contest was a 6”.
Good to know. Glad you enjoyed yourself. I baked bread.
Captain Kuminga?

JTA wasn't the most embarrassing participant in the dunk contest and made the Finals so that's a W for him

Should’ve had someone really tall guarding the basket and GTA jumping over him to dunk, like he did with JaVale.
