Hi. Can someone explain to me the meaning of "it's gonna be hard to box the God in"?

Thank you very much

So Harden is pretty much gone right? Seems like he already quit on them

OT, but Cavs supposedly traded for LeVert, and I had no idea they were 2nd place in the East right now.

Kudos to them for recovering after the LeBron years, with a young, fun roster to boot

Just caught Kerr's interview from yesterday. Notably, he reports that Wiseman fully practiced with the team (non-contact) and "looked really good." Additionally, Kerr says it's clear that Wiseman has "picked up a lot" since last playing, meaning better understanding of what they want from him, apparently learned while sitting. Further says Wiseman learned whatever they were practicing quite quickly. Hmmm! (Most of the interview is nothing special: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xl90SDc1tQg&ab_channel=JER-SportsJournalist )

Harden not getting traded... Westbrook almost undoubtedly won't get traded. It's amazing how quickly the "dream" of Lebron's Lakers vs Durant's Nets in the finals fell apart.

Another slow-dubs-day comment. OK, Klay is one of my favorite players (same as many here, I suspect). When he made that comment about trading for a washing machine, I thought it was hilarious (I mean what do the dubs really need, anyway, right?). I didn't realize he was referencing the movie Semi-Pro. When I learned that, I went and found it and watched it. So Klay is still one of my favorite players, but damn! that movie is terrible! Like, I'm sure we all wish we were actually on the warriors (and, at least in my case, also had basketball talent) but RN I wish I were on the team just so I could give Klay shit about how bad that movie is and I can't believe he liked it! :D

If Nets lose this game, they'll go 0-5 in the road trip and will be on an 8-game loss.

Wow Nets falling apart in the third quarter. Looks like they're well on their way their 8th straight loss. Here's an interesting question: what's the longest losing streak by a team that goes on to win the title? (I don't think the nets are winning a title this year).

Also, how long has Cousins been on the Nuggets???? I missed that one.

Indiana getting a significantly better return for Caris Levert than Portland did for Norm and RoCo. Lol.

Yo Duby, I'm a little curious what you mean by this tweet:

> The rare player that has seen his usage increase while also managing to be more efficient as a scorer.

https://twitter.com/Punk_Basketball/status/1490360943762493442

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/poolejo01.html

Poole's usage last season was 25%, it's 25% this season. His TS% was 58.1% last season and is 58.2% this season. He's averaging a couple fewer points per 36 minutes than last season.

I assume you are preparing an article so I'm looking forward to reading the argument.

I recall Kareem saying at some point "There isn't a single sport at the Winter Olympics that I can remotely relate to." I feel you, Kareem. I feel you.

OK, I've been reading many rants other places ("doctor, it only hurts when I read certain parts of the internet. what should I do?" "don't read those parts.") about the Warriors lack of a back up 5 and how they should go get one (maybe you've read some of the same or similar things?) and I need to rant in return. Sorry. Feel free to use your internet time for something more productive, like watching cat videos or something.

Anyway, I don't actually mind people saying the team should make a move that will improve their chances., but there are two and a half things really, really bother me.

The first is when they say it in a complete vacuum without any idea of who is actually out there (spoiler: right at the moment, no one available makes the Warriors better than the guy they would have to cut/trade to get him).

The second is when they ignore the fact that even if a reasonable candidate were available (say Alex Len or that calibre of player), there is a non-neghligable risk that the Warriors wouldn't actually be better with that player on the floor than with, say JTA or JK because, how much better could that theoretical player slow down, for example, Ayton, anyway, and how much worse would they be on the other end with a player who didn't know the offense and/or whose skills didn't really match it. (This is why, and I do get this one, some people pine for Gasol, though I think he might be past his NBA expiration date at this point)

The 2.5th is they have no regard for the Warriors secret chemistry sauce which might be ruined by a lineup change at this point. But, admittedly, that one is bit more nebulous.

Anyway, I don't know why I care. It's just not very knowledgeable fans in dark internet alleys but it seems like if you love the game and the team so much, you should be bothered to understand a bit of how it works. For example they should understand that even if the W's cut a league min guy, they still owe the salary + the cap hit so it would be a pretty expensive move (I am not saying they should care, but they should understand the impact of that fact on the people who are making the decision. And they should understand, at least vaguely the trade rules about matching salaries so they stop proposing trades that literally are against the rules.

Anyway, team is staying the way it is and, when it gets healthy is practically ideal for Warriors ball and should be deadly. Wiseman getting healthy and seeing if he could contribute would be a cherry on top, but it's a pretty good sundae, maybe a championship one even without that! So there!
