Sigh. Can I still vote Wagner? Dude is going to be a beast. Though his defense strikes me as overrated relative to Wagner's, I definitely like Moody's smooth stroke and solid two way potential with an ideal NBA frame and pretty good presence and BBIQ. Ithink that I'd generally be satisfied with he, Bouknight or Wagner, probably in reverse order, though the choice between Moody and Bouknight is a tossup for me. I dothink people are underestimating how inexperienced Bouknight is, given that he didn't start playing ball until high school, but I also think Moody's upside is formidable.
Moooooody! Championship teams need guys who can score and defend. I find the notion that the 18-year-old Moody has almost already reached his ceiling absurd.
The idea is we all go in there and submit our vote, and then eventually the homepage will be the DNHQ big board based on an averaging of all of our votes. Voting section works now, if anyone actually uses it I'll finish up the home page part. Voting is honor system, so please don't vote for someone else, or try to vote more than once.
Cool! That’s was fun. I tried to rank based on weighing upside with the risk of that upside not materializing, and with a slight bias towards players with more “certainty” of success.
I don't have a difference between how they rank and what will happen on draft day. Teams will for the most part draft the best player regardless of need. The guys past 15 are essentially random. Generally speaking I think the older players like Duarte, Kispert, and Mitchell will fall farther than most boards have them just because the salary cap makes easier to draft and retain somebody that you think has a lot of upside than it is to trade for an established star.
Totally, what I mean is, it should be who you think is the best at that slot, rather than thinking like "well Orlando needs shooting so they'll probaby pick so-and-so"
I made it a requirement to go up to 14 (because warriors), but after that it's up to you! I don't think it should skew the vote since the lower guys ranks will be averaged over less votes.
Irrelevant to this post: While it's not what I'd do, I've also been daydreaming about what a Mitchell/Klay/Garuba/Draymond/Wiggins lineup would look like just on defense. That half of the court would be fun to watch, at least.
Wow. I never watch college basketball, and I realize everyone looks good in their highlights, but these guys look terrific. I'd be glad to have either/both.
Moody, bouknight is a ridiculous scorer forsure, but some of them games he got tunnel vision even worse then jordan Clarkson which is kind of ridiculous, idc how bad your teammates are something's are just not playing the game right lol
I’m voting for Moody, who looks like he’s running away with it. Besides all the great comments below, I get the sense that he’s a better fit in the Warriors selfless culture/system; he’s willing to pass up a good shot for a better one and works hard on defense. Bouknight seems a little more about himself.
My order is Moody>Wagner>Bouknight at 7. That said, I’ll will trust the front office se guys. I hate to admit it, but they know more than I do. (Ok you’re right, I probably know much more than they do, but they’ve been able to talk to these guys, look ‘em in the eye, give ‘em a firm handshake and see what they’re made of.)
Moody. Although this was super close for me. I think Moody is the better fit for the warriors system and will provide a contribution earlier than Bouknight, particularly on defense.
Moody seems like he fits this team perfectly, could be productive and useful in his first season, and has a skill he is very good at (getting to the line) that the team is not particularly strong in. It seems like he has some decent upside too. Would not be mad at picking Bouknight but he seems more one-dimensional, even though that dimension he offers is important.

Tomorrow we’ll have a bonus piece by Nate P about Wagner, so you get to celebrate him there
> Josh Giddey confirmed that he met with the Warriors a week or so ago. Interview, no workout.

"Warriors draft room starts day Moody, ends up Giddey."
Moody.
He has such a high floor.
He knocks down all kinds of difficult jumpers including the horizontal drifts. And you can't coach that wingspan.
He looks more NBA ready than Bouknight already, yet he's nearly 2 years younger.
Seems like a no-brainer (I must be missing something.)
Bouknight is surprisingly only 3 months younger than Trey Murphy, who was a junior.

Hey ya'll, so I made a thing: https://zealous-ramanujan-12ae5c.netlify.app/vote

I did not realize how truly irrational and un systematic my rankings are until I put them all in a row 😅
Thanks for making this! It’ll be interesting to see how it shakes out in aggregate.
fosho! I'm excited too! lots of different takes so far, so will definitely be fun to see how it shakes out.
I went 17 deep on pure unsophisticated gut instinct
Thx for the exercise
np :D
I submitted mine, hope it shows up in there.
you're in there!
Just to clarify -- the idea is to vote for how you think the prospects should be ranked, not to predict what will happen on draft day.

Highly admire the work, but I'm not sure I can come up with a long Big Board...
I should have mentioned! go as high as you like, but at least up to 14
How high do we have to go? I don't have strong opinions on Jason Preston vs Filip Petrusev.
Filip! Errr....crap....maybe Jason....
I made it a requirement to go up to 14 (because warriors), but after that it's up to you! I don't think it should skew the vote since the lower guys ranks will be averaged over less votes.
Word, I submitted it but some of these were essentially ties and I had no idea where to rank Jalen Johnson or Ziaire Williams.
OK I went up to 18. But to be honest, after #10 or so, it was bit random gut feeling without too much thinking...
hahah I feel ya, I can get to about #12 before I have a hard time caring
I voted, then I realized it was based on who I liked not how I thought the draft would actually go.
want me to delete your vote and you can vote again? If you go to https://zealous-ramanujan-12ae5c.netlify.app/vote?reset it'll reset the UI so you can keep draggin
I'll jump on the Moody bandwagon.
Moody! This one's easy.

That's pretty fun on the defensive end. You could also flip out Dray for JTA for just a little more shooting.
The grumpy prophet over the nocturnal reader.
Before I actually heard his name pronounced, I thought he was the "fashionable armored solider on horseback".
If he ever gets poked in the eye and has to wear an eye patch we can call him "Mad-Eye"
Wow. I never watch college basketball, and I realize everyone looks good in their highlights, but these guys look terrific. I'd be glad to have either/both.
Make sure to watch the lowlights as well
And for all the talk of how proficient a scorer bouknight is we need to give moody the same props for his efficiency as a freshman leading his team
Moody, bouknight is a ridiculous scorer forsure, but some of them games he got tunnel vision even worse then jordan Clarkson which is kind of ridiculous, idc how bad your teammates are something's are just not playing the game right lol
Man these two are evenly matched -
Moody by the virtue of position
🐮🐮🐮🐮🐮🐮🇩. Mooooooody
