#THREE they both seem to play solid defense, and they’re both going to need their 3p to improve to really have an important role. I’m going with hood-schifino because his midranger and FT% make me think that he’s got better odds there. I’ll also note that hood-schifino got more rebounds per 36 than sidy.
#FOURTEEN Sidy is an NBA player. Shades of Dray or Jimmy Butler. Physical. Tough. We need to draft some defenders. Defensive wings have a roll in this league. We can work on the shot. Jalen HS looks small and doesn’t elevate at all, turn overs look like Poole, can’t have more of that.
I can't see how a guard who can't shoot will do much on this team, so I guess I'd have to favor Sisko by default. The more I look at JHS, the more I dislike his game- he doesn't do anything particularly well compared to his peers in the draft, while the Hoosiers were only 0.7 pts/100 possessions better when he was on the floor.
LeBron James with a cryptic ending to his press conference: “I got a lot to think about. … Just personally, with me moving forward with the game of basketball, I got a lot to think about.”
Malone on Jokic: “The MVP’s are real. All the narratives are silly. He’s averaging a triple-double. Do you see any stat padding out there? Give him his damn respect.”
That is pretty much 90% of the interest that I had left for these playoffs (to see the Lakers lose and Lebron + the various other members of the Warriors’ Rogues Gallery they employed denied a ring).
If Boston get eliminated shortly afterwards, that will be the remaining 10%. Would love to see Bill Simmons shut his trap about the supposed greatness of Boston Sports for another year. Plus, it would be great to see the meltdown the Celtics and their fanbase go through on the back of a series loss this embarrassing.
If the Finals is Denver vs Miami, it would be cool to see Jokic win a ring. It would also be cool to see Spolstra and Riley win a ring after refusing to kowtow to Lebron and having to rebuild from the ashes a decade ago.
But mostly, I’m just happy Lebron and his merry band got swept out of the playoffs and the likes of Westbrook won’t be able to luck themselves into a ring.
We would have never past this Nuggets. I hope Green, Klay, Kerr, the coaching staff, the front office understand how far we were from a championship team this year
Agree and the Nuggets are a bad matchup for the Dubs as well. Way too much size -- the LA v. GSW series was just to see who could try to win one game v. the Nuggets. If the Nuggets are now the standard in the west, the Warriors also somehow need to get another 7 footer to try and match up -- Jokic, MPJ and Gordon bring some serious length to the floor.
I feel depressed thinking about all their post-loss talking because I doubt much will change next season - they are attributing a lot to the punch. But I think it was the punch + Kerrs extremely poor mentoring of the youngsters + his bull-headed coaching strategies + his poor personnel management (i.e. no punishing dray or talking to and getting klay to realize and correct his selfish play) that all added up in the end! Not sure if anything is going to change even if Poole is traded!
Lets hope his summer sabbatical helps him find the real issues and clean it up!
OK, technically there were more 20 year olds this year because Rollins and PBJ took over the roster spots that dudes like Chiozza and Witherspoon had.
But the point still stands, as the impact and big game availability Chiozza and Witherspoon had were minimal at best anyway (hell, it wouldn’t surprise me if Rollins and PBJ did more this year than Chiozza and Witherspoon did last year).
We'll never know... but I think we would have had a decent chance. There was nobody on the Lakers to stretch the Nuggets defense and truly tire out Jokic.
It would’ve been tough without a healthy Wiggins, but if he had been, I’d have called it a toss up. Certainly would’ve needed Klay and JP to come out of their slumps.

I cab forgive everything of Draymonds including the punch. I wont forgive his involvement in that 2018 draft talking about Jacob Evans as a 16 game player.
Yeah! I remembered the W's one because that was when I went from thinking the Warriors were the best team in the league to "All-time best team ever" territory. Those first two years were rad as hell
The Warriors were never up 3-0 in that series. The Cavs won game 3. The Dubs won Game 4, which was the game Draymond and Lebron had the dustup that led to the suspension in Game 5 that swung the series.
Looking at Denver and Miami i had quite forgotten the mental fortitude it takes to reach the Finals. Like no way in heck do I think the Warriors could have sustained that laser focus this year from start to finish. They were truly a very unserious basketball squad this year.
I think we give Denver a better matchup. Lakers just presented a myriad of matchup problems for us just like Denver did for the Lakers. Guess just the mental aspect of it all. Fighting through the physical and mental exhaustion. Denver did that. We could not.

L-L-L-Lakers!

If the Heat knock off the Celtics, it’s assured that Nikola Jo*ic will win a championship.

Lebron is such a narcissist LMAO.
attention whore.
LMAO. What's left of the future of the Lakers if he retires? Do they have any draft picks left?

A narcissist through and through…
Although if that happened, Bronny would be a one-and-done rookie so he might not play that much anyway.

Well, the Lakers are gone. Thank God.
That is pretty much 90% of the interest that I had left for these playoffs (to see the Lakers lose and Lebron + the various other members of the Warriors’ Rogues Gallery they employed denied a ring).

Lakers lost 4 games by fewer combined points than the Celtics' 3rd-quarter deficit yesterday.
They also lost the 3rd tonight (36-16) by more than the Celtics lost the 3rd last night (32-17)
It'll all even out in the end when the Celtics get booted (which is still weird for me to think about...)
We would have never past this Nuggets. I hope Green, Klay, Kerr, the coaching staff, the front office understand how far we were from a championship team this year

Punishing Draymond would probably have been a Lacob-Myers decision, although Kerr presumably would have input.
The real issues are known but publically addressing them would get Kerr into hot water with Lacob and the delusional part of Dubnation.
It's trying to contend with a roster that has more 20-year-olds on the team than all of this year's conference finalists combined
Funny how that wasn’t a problem with last years NBA champion, who had just as many 20 year olds on its roster.
Umm, tbf, Rollins and PBJ took over last years' roster spots devoted to Moody and JK. So, there were even more 20 year olds on this years' roster.
OK, technically there were more 20 year olds this year because Rollins and PBJ took over the roster spots that dudes like Chiozza and Witherspoon had.

We have nobody to stop Joker
AD seemed Wilt in his paint against us for long periods
You make it sound like Jokic beats up on the W's and everyone else stops him. Last year's playoffs we did ok against him.
Last year: no Jamal Murray + no Michael Porter jr + no Kentavious Caldwell Pope + no Bruce Brown
Completely different team. Best record in the West from the beginning.
Your original comment was “ We have nobody to stop Joker”
That’s a very different point than “the nuggets have lots of good players”
Look up: the original comment was "Freddie

We would have never past this Nuggets. I hope Green, Klay, Kerr, the coaching staff, the front office understand how far we were from a championship team this year"
Dray says hello… Jokic gets numbers, nobody stops him. Dray makes it tough enough.
Draymond plays well once every four games now. He’s no 16 game player anymore.
Jokic is in his prime and will stay in his prime for years
So anybody know what podmond is about to say on his "Lakers going to win" prediction podcasting series?
I cab forgive everything of Draymonds including the punch. I wont forgive his involvement in that 2018 draft talking about Jacob Evans as a 16 game player.
Green better take a summer of hard work and meditation. To clean hs mind.
So Lebron enters the Dubious category of having been swept in a play-off series.
STEPH BETTER!
The last two real dynasties did it to him first!
0-4? Really - They were gentlemen sweeps?
I meant - werent they gentleman sweeps - but you are correct - he is now leading the sweep series 3-0 versus STEPH!
Yeah espn and such were making a big deal about LeBron never having been swept, prior to the Finals. Dubs and spurs both did it to him in the Finals.
Yeah! I remembered the W's one because that was when I went from thinking the Warriors were the best team in the league to "All-time best team ever" territory. Those first two years were rad as hell
You went to games in 46 and 47? Two straight trips to the Finals must have been awesome
Yeah, that Jumpin' Joe Fulks was a real Curry clone back in the day
Which reverse sweep?
A reverse sweep is winning 3 and then losing 4. Steph never did that (no one in the NBA has).
The worst Steph suffered was losing a series after being up 3-1 thanks to Kiki and the league interfering.
No, they weren’t.
The Warriors were never up 3-0 in that series. The Cavs won game 3. The Dubs won Game 4, which was the game Draymond and Lebron had the dustup that led to the suspension in Game 5 that swung the series.
This was the conference finals?
You’ve got your rounds and number of games all mixed up.
For those of you who followed last game. I almost turned on the game when it was 107-103. I refrained.
You’re welcome.
Nice play. Did you jab-step, fake, and get the remote up in the air before dishing the no-look pass and, er, doing something else?
Something like that
You're the real MVP
ha ha haaa - thank you once again for your service!
Looking at Denver and Miami i had quite forgotten the mental fortitude it takes to reach the Finals. Like no way in heck do I think the Warriors could have sustained that laser focus this year from start to finish. They were truly a very unserious basketball squad this year.
We wouldn't have made it past Nuggets. I believe we would have won one or two games, but this sweep of the Lakers feels good.
I think we give Denver a better matchup. Lakers just presented a myriad of matchup problems for us just like Denver did for the Lakers. Guess just the mental aspect of it all. Fighting through the physical and mental exhaustion. Denver did that. We could not.
History is kinda repeating itself now. In 1987, the #7 seeded Supersonics beat the #6 seeded Rockets 4-2. Sonics got swept by the Lakers in the WCF.
