I watched the video. Turns out the skit is actually 8.5 minutes long, followed by a 3 minute video about RDCWorld website and future stuff, outro, and a bonus clip.
I couldn't make it all the way through... But I did like fake Ham's idea to stop floppin. Floppers sometimes win the battle, but I feel like at least a flop-first team still hasn't won a championship (probably someone I'm forgetting... Maybe Heat over Mavs, but feels like more just a ridiculous whistle vs a concerted effort to flop at every chance available). None of the 3 teams left would qualify, so we can count this year as another success.
Cause he hates the Clippers and would love to be the one to dismantle their core!! (Idk what Shawyer's reason is, but petty would work for me. Break them up and leave right after, I guess)
Only kris murray really intrigues me tbh and ino what this team needs more then anything is scoring, we could barely score against the goddam kings defense in the playoffs
I should have said 'like' JJJ or others. We need another good, big, paint player and if it is to replace Draymond, the extra points will help the Warriors win games that they should win, not lose them as last season showed us.
It's still the same problem. It's not realistic to say "let's just replace Draymond with someone like the defensive player of the year who is also decent at offense". The first problem is if Draymond opts out, the Warriors have no money to replace him with anyone. So can only replace him with like a Damian Jones level player. If Draymond opts in and we trade him, I don't know what his trade value is, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be nothing close to a JJJ. Maybe more like a Nurkic, who is going to be a huge downgrade on defense, and maybe not even an upgrade on offense, so what's the point?
I understand a lot of the nuances of this situation. My comments are directed more to those fans who believe the narrative of 'no Draymond, no contender'. Guys like Lacob & Myers are savvy as to how to navigate the financial requirements to move and acquire players. Probably nothing happens as the finances seem frozen. First we wait and see what Draymond does.
Dray is so polarizing, even among Warriors fans. Dray does so many little things that a guy like Jerami Grant doesn't. I think Kerr is exactly right on this one. You lose Draymond Green, you're no longer a title contender.
That said if you replaced him with JJJ, maybe you do have a stew cooking.
No, it's not. But if we can only replace him with a vet min level player, then once again, we are NOT a contender. And that's the rub, AFAIC.
It's fine to say that Green could leave if we could replace him with Jaren Jackson, except that we can't. The issue is what kind of player we could reasonably get to replace him. Whom do you see out there that could fill in for Dray and keep the Ws a contender?
BTW, we are no longer a contender with or without Dray. I cannot see him opting out at this point of his career because money on the table wins. He's not dumb. Losing him is inevitable in the next couple of seasons. Losing Curry, otoh, would be a real gut punch to the team that would take time and luck to recover from. Losing Dray, you adjust unless Kerr can't adjust or doesn't want to. Since they are no longer contenders, what's to worry about? The 2nd timeline is the Warrior reality at present. Lacob will decide in the end which way the team bends
We'll never know unless we try and sooner or later, you know he will be gone. Diminishing skills, injuries, TOs, paltry offensive games. Dray is not getting better. Ask Lebron..........
#THIRTEEN, but please stash and don't burn a roster spot - the highlights mostly show BC making a lot of wide open or lightly contested shots, a few badly defended crossovers, etc. Not enough to judge, but I could easily see his dribble being picked and a lot of those shots swatted against quicker, longer defense - nothing there to make me go "Wow, what a prospect!" yet.
Jackson was 17 when he started his Freshman year. To me, his one on one interviews show a rather thoughtful kid who dealt with high expectations. I I see a lot of JK in him. I don't see the Dubs as a good fit, but I could see him developing into a solid NBA player down the road. I may be missing some of the red flags that others see (0.8 assists ugh) but I think he is deserving of consideration at this slot. With that said, I'll take the 7'2" wingspan.
Agreed with several of the comments ahead of me: Coulibaly seems much more in line with what the Dubs typically look for: BBIQ, fundamentals, attitude, wingspan. Other things can come along afterwards. But that also makes it seem like he'll go before we get a chance to draft him.
Honestly the G.G. Jackson account report has so many negative/red flag comments in it, I wonder how he's so high. Is there more than meets the eye going on here?
I think G.G. Jackson has been drifting downwards slowly in mock drafts, but his youth and frame allow people to dream big about what he can become. In some ways it was bad luck that he was matched up against another young player who’s possibly stashable.
As for how he literally ended up at (4) in our Tourney, you can read the methodology at the link at the start of each article, but in short, it’s where he was mocked by reputable analysts at the time of the start of the series. During the Tourney, there is always movement on the draft boards, and Coulibaly is one of the fast-risers… it won’t surprise me if Coulibaly ends up drafted before Jackson.
There's an emerging trend here, with the lower seeds offering a lot more of what most of us here would be looking for in a draft pick. (The exception, at least from my point of view, was Hawkins v. Jackson-Davis, but even that one was close and maybe a bit of a seeding fluke—I think they're my two favorite prospects so far.) Anyway, this could bode well if the W's plan to keep the pick, since it suggests their priorities might run somewhat counter to league-wide consensus (*if* they're thinking along the same lines we are).
#THIRTEEN easy one. Coulibaly has the wing span that our scouts love. As with prior drafts, I’m prioritizing defense. This guy could be Wiggins replacement some day (4 years from now). Great potential. The other dude Jackson is way too much of a risk. Headcase. No defensive effort. Yuck. Avoid. All that said, I doubt we will have a chance to draft Coulibaly, some other team will snatch him up.
Hey you never know, he could drop down to us. I didn't think Haliburton was going to go as low as 12th three years ago, and I did not think Moody would be there at 14.
The young guys in this range are like throwing a dart with a blindfold on. They all have tools, but who's got the maturity to develop on any team let alone a vet team?
The big bodied wing with a huge wingspan is an easy get over the slim forward who can shoot a little.
I like Sasser overall. Seems like a good bet to have a solid NBA career.
Good: High volume 3P shooter. Big wingspan at his height, 6'7 (Making him more like a true combo vs just a 1). Supposed to be a good defender.
Bad: Low playmaking and no rebounding.
He'll probably be a good shooter, and a solid defender who can be a 3rd or 4th guard (like a Tony Delk type). If he played defense like his life depended on it he could be a decent starter to pair with a big playmaker. Like Pat Beverley with a little worse D but a better jumper.
@ASHER - As the Resident Leader of the JK Bandwagon, which has many followers like myself, I think you will find some reassurance about his motivation to develop and play for the Dubs on this Warriors Huddle podcast - at least thats that I took away!
1. He is committed to developing whatever is needed to succeed with the Dubs
2. Post-season break - what post-season break. "I need to work on my game"
3. There is a video circulating on r/warriors about JK at a gym in NY working with the guy who helped Paul George. He is wearing a Dubs T-shirt
4. Kirsten Peeks, an NBA sportswriter with expertise in Draft is convinced he is going to be a DUB based on a recent discussion with him!
Personally, I cant wait for next season to begin so I can see JK explode! He is the X-factor and makes the crowd go crazy . No way Joe Lacob has not seen the crowd reaction when he dunks!
Tell Dray to take a hike, buy out Klay (which he would have to agree to), let every free agent we have go, and... I haven't crunched the numbers but maybe get below the cap enough to sign him but maybe not. Which is why nobody is asking.
And under the new CBA, since we are over the second threshold, we can't trade someone and take back less salary. I don't know whether that restriction starts this year or next though.
#thirteen mostly due to the repeated concerns about attitude for Jackson. Jackson may go to a different team and turn out to be a better player, but it’s hard to imagine him flourishing in a win-now environment with limited opportunities.

Clippers GM leaving. Bob likely headed to LAC (imo, nothing official).
If anyone can banish the Last Stench of Sterling. It’s Bob.

If you want scoring, replace Draymond with a PF like JJJ or Jerami Grant. Done.
yeah okay let's just go out and get Jaren Jackson Jr. Lol.

You'd better get a good bit of extra scoring since getting rid of Dray will make it harder for Steph and Klay to get good shots
Lol
Shooters shoot. I never believed that narrative. With 10 more points per game with a player like Jerami Grant, I doubt we lose much.
Dray is so polarizing, even among Warriors fans. Dray does so many little things that a guy like Jerami Grant doesn't. I think Kerr is exactly right on this one. You lose Draymond Green, you're no longer a title contender.

We’re no longer a contender — if we assume he leaves and no one at all replaces him. Which is not how it works.

If we get Coulibaly, next year's team will be the "Oui Believe" team.
Nous croyons!

Jackson did himself no favors by going to SC, which is a dumpster fire on the Titanic, going over Niagara Falls.
#THIRTEEN

I'm having second thoughts about voting against Jackson-Davis.

Another random draft question for you. Do you have an opinion on Marcus Sasser?

How does GSW go about getting unrestricted free agent Jerami Grant?

I’m paywalled, what’s the summary? But also: I’ve never had a single doubt about his motivation. I’ve doubted Kerr’s lack of motivation to play him.
i think its a free podcast - Warrios Huddle?
Summary:

He signs somewhere else, they give up on him, and then maybe the Warriors trade for him in a year or two?
I like your style but they give up on him why?
I don't know why that team would give up on him, but that's the only way to get him here. There's no way to free cap space or do a sign and trade.
What if Draymond declines? Is that where we’re at, Draymond can decline? Not that I think he will…
If Dray declines his option the Warriors are still like 45M above the salary cap.
So it's like:
1) Dray declines
2) Trade Klay's 43M contract into someone's space getting close to even.
3) Trade Poole or Wiggins contract into someone's space.
Should be somewhere in range at that point.
How we trade Poole and Klay’s salary without taking salary back?
And under the new CBA, since we are over the second threshold, we can't trade someone and take back less salary. I don't know whether that restriction starts this year or next though.
Because he didn't like the vibe there and remembered how happy he was in GS... or so he heard from his ex-teammate in POR.
Jackson sounds like the beginning of a third timeline which won't see any time on court until the post-Kerr era.
Bilal might be the only player in the NBA next year who has experience guarding our future WC nemesis Wemby in practice.

#thirteen mostly due to the repeated concerns about attitude for Jackson. Jackson may go to a different team and turn out to be a better player, but it’s hard to imagine him flourishing in a win-now environment with limited opportunities.

Le treizieme, s’il vous plait!
Coulibaly looks like he could be magnifique in a few years. Long-limbed wing at 19 that can be stashed seems like great value pick.
