Game 5 turnovers were almost equal yet we got blown out so maybe your theory is backwards. Maybe when we are not playing defense aggressively but they do, we don't force as many turn overs and they force more. It's all about defense.

All about defense as I said and they locked down the Rockets big time.

I'm a five-man movement offense guy, so this is partially my bias speaking, but my lack of optimism stems primarily from Terry Stotts and the increasingly rare use of Steph's off-ball movement. GS is letting Houston dictate its offense, and eight seconds of Steph dribbling waiting on the triple team to show up is not my idea of an effective plan. This gimmicky zone is begging to be attacked with early cuts and off-ball movement through the back line - not passively waiting for the doubles to attach. Kerr needs desperately to take back control of the offense for this game because Houston has crushed Stotts' flare/pin-down sets and dumped them unceremoniously in a nondescript back alley somewhere. I am fearful as I watch that Stotts has no fall-back except to traditional conservative NBA coaching and really doesn't actually in his heart of hearts believe in Steph's unique offensive capacities. In the playoffs, he's far too often reducing the defensive court to half its width, negating almost entirely Steph's ability to stretch the defense and forcing Steph to ISO. And the side attack lines have the added detriments of taking two players mostly out of movement and eliminating Dray/Steph PNR opportunities.

If the shooters were hitting, this would be somewhat better, because they are getting open on the corners - although Houston's closing speed is spectacular - but Green, Post, Moody, Podz, Hield, Payton, Butler is just not a confidence inspiring group to set up to attempt 33 three-pointers (they made only EIGHT of them - if I were Houston, I'd dare those guys to beat me shooting too). That increases the ball-pressure on Steph to a smothering level, particularly given his current hand weakness (hence the turnovers).

I would accept better rebounding along with less turnovers as some win insurance. 🏀

Reading comments here, it would appear that we just lost game 7.

We have a game 7 ahead of us. We have the experience. Can you imagine how nervous the young rockets will feel.

If the game is close in the 4th quarter, I love our chances. I'm not betting against Steph, Dray and Jimmy

You think the rockets are nervous?

I think they are chomping at the bit to bury the old warriors ass .

I think they are going into this game cocky and very confident.

We win this game only if we get some big time surprises from the supporting cast.

Anything can happen in one game, even a team that revolutionized the use of the 3 point shot going 0-27 on their home floor in a game 7. Still can’t believe that one.

It was a two-point game entering the 4th Q in Game 6, on our home floor, and the nervous young Rockets kicked our experienced asses.
