Gee, Daniel, quoting Joe Viray -twice- in an article is impressive....lol... 1/4 of a billion dollars later, Barnes did the right thing when he left....he bet on himself, and, won. Dubs should have kept him; what is he, 30, now... Our 73-win-season's Finals was not ''lost''...'Ship was awarded to LBJ by a NBA league not prepared to give DUBS best-ever team crown over MJ's Bulls, and crown Steph King over LBJ. I mean, LBJ pushed Green down, walked over him; lucky Dray didn't castrate him as he pushed up with his arm to protect himself...LBJ cried to the MEDIA, league gleefully suspended Dray for game 5.... Bogut got hurt in game 5 loss... Heck, NBA still has a hard time swallowing the Dynastic Dominance of the DUBS during the last decade. I also still think Dubs should have never broken up that 2x Finals team for Durant. We ''lost'' a 'Ship without him AND one with him....and, broke our Dynastic run for 2 yrs during the primes of our Dynastic CORE. Nuff said of my opinions/thoughts....
I don’t know if I’m more appalled at the scrubtastic team LeBron is playing with, or that they managed to push the Mavs to 2OT. Come on Mavs! Bizarre.
It’s not like we’d get pushed around like that against a team stuffed full of backups and third tier guys while most of the starters sit injured on the bench. Suns, you say, Suns who?
Oh wow. Lakers-Mavericks is a close game all of a sudden. Is Doncic gonna have to try and win the game by himself, just like how he did against the Spurs, Rockets, and Knicks?
"Absolutely" as Draymond would say! Instead I chose obscurity over elegance as I hoped there's a bit more of an "a ha" moment for the audience. A discerning creative crowd this DNHQ :P
I don't get to come here as much as I would like lately so i will have to get it all in quickly :D
1) Uhh... I loved Mo Buckets when he played for us, but I'd take even the old version of West we got, let alone West in his prime, over Speights any day!
2)(Tears) Trevioooooooonnnnnn, Why ????? (Seriously though, why? Not like the guy they got is anything special and Trevion had one elite BB skill. Probably wasn't enough but, did he do something wrong? I don't get it ...
3) Is Marquese Chriss in shape? Seems like an easy call to put him on a 10 day and see if he can replicate his early success with us ... while we need someone in the short term Honestly, the MC I remember was better than JaMGreen (no, this is NOT a good time to discuss my many memory lapses)
I agree, I'd take old man West over Speights. Now if we'd had West in his prime, oboy oboy! I was a fan.
Trevion is a wonderful passer. In addition to that, he's a really good passer, not to mention he can pass the ball. Did I mention his passing? Beyond that... meh.
Back in late October, Chriss was released by OKC and at the time still had knee problems. I don't know where he is now. He is a 6'9" PF who seems talented but keeps bouncing around from team to team, not sticking anywhere for long. He did a decent job on our horrible 2019-20 team, and decent looked good by comparison. He had his moments to be sure. A 10-day isn't a big risk, if he's healthy, but he's not a true 5 if that's what we're looking for. I think JK could take some of those minutes if he's coming back soon. Maybe even PBJ by late in the season.

Mavericks beat the Lakers 119-115 in double OT.

And we’re only two games ahead of the lakers in the loss column
LBJ with the 46 mins. Geez.
Iggy why not.
Because like him or hate him, LBJ is a freakin' alien.
Andre played big minutes in the 21-22 stunning home loss to Indiana and didn't see the court again for several weeks.
Lakers Mavs game goes into second OT.
Lakers-Mavericks 1st overtime is over at 108-108. 2nd overtime is coming up.
Thinking of seeding, it is very much unlikely that we will catch up to seed #1 and #2 AND Denver, Memphis will be #1, #4 or #2, #3 or reverse of two.
So, it is very much likely that we will need to go through Mem and Den on the road.
With Championship or bust mindset, does it really matter if we are #4, #5 or #6?
Just stay healthy and have #6 or better seeding and we should be okay. And #6 shouldn't be too hard to get if everyone stays healthy.
Cavs beat the Blazers 119-113.
Lakers-Mavs game tied 101-101 with 6 seconds left to go.
Game's now heading to overtime
Sure looked like the Mavs fouled on the last shot.
GP2 played 18 minutes tonight. He didn't do much, though. He only grabbed 3 rebounds, had 1 assist, fouled 2 times, and didn't score any points.
At least he’s playing again.
Oh wow. Lakers-Mavericks is a close game all of a sudden. Is Doncic gonna have to try and win the game by himself, just like how he did against the Spurs, Rockets, and Knicks?
It's a crybaby fest with LeBron and Luka whining after every possession. Makes Dray look like David Robinson in comparison.
Grumble Old Man, Grumble
Mavs are up big against the Lakers right now. Guess I'll be rooting for the Mavs to win tonight.
Not that big… 14 point first quarter lead just isn’t what it used to be…

Cue the hysteria.
Do I root for Lakers or Mavs?!?!?!
NO
I’m so torn. I just hate to see the Lakers win.
Lakers, imo. Increases our chances of grabbing the #4 seed.
I don't think I could ever root for that team even if our playoff hopes rests in their hands. The hatred runs too deep.

Very nice! Though I think it would work just as well (and be a bit clearer) if you doubled just “Night Night” and “Day Day.”

Photo of the Alamodome being set up. It looks like they are building a basketball court for ants🏀 🐜
