It's a 4 game 22 minute sample, but the new look bench of Poole-DLee-Bazemore-Oubre-Looney is rocking a 85.0 OffRtg - 107.5 DefRtg for the cool -22.5 NetRtg.
So I built the spreadsheet and the average record of the Warriors remaining opponents is 24.5/25.5. However, if you take into account they have multiple games remaining against bad teams, for instance 3 each against the Thunder and Pelicans, it is more like 23/26 so there is definitely an opportunity to at least seal a play-in spot. The 7th sport is almost certainly out of reach as the top 6 are comfortably out of reach and the Mavericks have been playing well.
I had enough fun with the game that around 2-3 minutes left when Curry hit that heavily contested 3 to bring it back to within 2, I felt like regardless of the outcome I was content with the effort. But man, the win felt really good too...

I know it’s been beaten to death, but seeing Wiseman’s development really makes you wonder where he’d be in a normal season with summer league, training camps and regular practices. The play we saw last night would likely have been evident much earlier on and we’d be seeing it on a more consistent basis now.
I’m really glad they didn’t trade him and he remains untouchable in my book.
Yes yes yasss that was a super fun game, with a satisfying, nail biting ending. Smiles all around.
I clenched on those late shots from Oubre and Baze, and loved that they went in. But. Sadly I just don’t believe in these guys as reliable offensive pieces. In the story of 2021 that shooting from these players is going to be an outlier, not a “that was when they started to get it together” memorable building block to steady future winning. Oubre will be gone, Baze is what he is. Warriors future success, if it comes, will be on a healthy Klay, ongoing positive development from Poole and Wiseman, and likely additional outside shooter acquisitions.
Anthony Slater takes Steph's answer about Wiseman's play last night, and then cuts in the video of those exact plays that Curry specifically mentions.
Wiseman may not be as steadily good as Steph was when he was a post All-Star rookie, but there are for sure some superstar flashes that Wiseman shows every now and then.
The good news for the Warriors is now that they are past the Bucks, they have about the easiest stretch they are likely to see with the Wizards, Rockets, Thunder, and Cavs in the next 5 games. In fact most of the rest of the schedule are winnable games, Nuggets, Jazz, and 76ers being the notable exceptions.
In other news, as usual the L2M says we benefited from a missed call: https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/nba-last-two-minute-report-warriors-benefited-vs-bucks-final-plays-correct. But it should be noted that it explicitly exonerates Bazemore: "[Pat] Connaughton secures the rebound and turns his body while airborne to attempt the shot. Bazemore extends his hand forward and cleanly blocks the put back shot attempt".

Time to buckle up; this was the last two-day break for the Dubs until the very end of the season.
Man if we end up getting t wolves 4th pick that would just be huge

Is that the new Baze-Poole elevator doors play?
Also: JDub looks maybe a little *too* excited about this win. o_O
