Cory Joseph signs as free agent with Warriors
a veteran guard for a one-year minimum contract
BadlyBrowned alerted DNHQ to this mini Woj bomb:
Free agent guard Cory Joseph has agreed on a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, KlutchSports CEO Rich Paul and agent Brandon Cavanaugh tell ESPN. Joseph averaged seven points and 3.5 assists for the Pistons a season ago.
Cory Joseph was not on anyone’s free agency wish list, but he’s a known name with some experience.

Here's what Pistons fans said about C. Joseph:
"He's exactly what you'd expect out of a depth point guard - he can do everything well enough without being spectacular. A lot of Pistons fans gave him hell for getting big minutes on a tanking squad because of his connection to the former coach but he's a solid player. Certainly more suited to a role on a contender at this stage."
"He’s good. Serviceable backup who was a good veteran presence for us. Can shoot. Will make some questionable plays on offense sometimes. A little too small to be a great defender."
"He's been good enough to carve out a 12-year career as a backup point guard. He seems like a good teammate and he'll be fine in garbage time. If he's playing considerable minutes then something has probably gone horribly wrong for you guys anyway."
"He’s a steady veteran that will play as best as he can when his number is called. There will be zero drama, zero culture issues. He’ll show up and play his role. On a team with Curry and CP3, he’s going to be your insurance policy. That’s it."

John Hollingers BORD rating on Corey Joseph:
11. Cory Joseph, 31, Detroit: $4,083,759
Joseph has kind of been forgotten because he’s 31 and played for a bad team, but he’s quietly become a dependable 3-point shooter (38.9 percent and 41.4 percent the last two seasons) and still offers a secure handle and solid defense.
He struggled to get downhill and really needs to play with other shot creators around him, and for that reason, he won’t be anyone’s first choice. Nonetheless, he’s a rotation-caliber player, and as a one-year stopgap, a team could do a lot worse. Smart teams will have him jotted down as a Plan B fallback if they can’t sign their initial targets.

Any chance Dubs can pick up Montrezl Harrell? He declined 2.7mil. Only played 11 min per last season. Not sure what he is looking for.
Whoa, 5/260 seems like kind of a lot for LaMelo.
Also, LaMelo being the cornerstone of your franchise doesn’t seem like that great a plan.
