We have a guy named Reggie Perry who is 6’10” and went to college in Korea. Let’s add him in the 14th spot just to give Fitz something non-stupid to talk about.
He is listed as 6'8", 250lbs in Wiki and Espn. Still, quite a hunk of mass. Don't know anything about him. He looks much older than he is, like someone with brute force. Let's contact his spirit and guide him into the paint to wreck some havoc.
It's probably silly, but I kind of would rather have JTA than a guy like Craig or Warren , just bc I wouldn't want them to take PT from Moody/Kuminga, and we know JTA is a great chemistry guy. Probably best to get as many good players as possible, but I'm conflicted.
If it's the 14th roster spot, getting JTA back in the building can't hurt. That's a chemistry spot and JTA fits the bill. Goes to show just how important Saric is at this point.
If Saric is actually happening, I feel like the 14th spot could be either JTA or Lamb. If they can land a bigger fish, sure, go for it. But assuming they strike out, Lamb kind of felt like a better JTA last year, but obviously has some character concerns, while JTA is character HOF. I have to say, on the court, I love both their styles. Entertaining hustlers. Ultimate team players. If it does end up coming down to those two, I would hope the Warriors do whatever in their ability to try to understand if Lamb did what he was accused of. Honestly I'm not sure how much they can do to understand that.
I sort of like CP3 as a backup PG. But if we strike out on Saric, we just won't have enough big bodies to make it through the regular season. So, we need to trade for depth. What does DNHQ think of CP3 for Brogdon and RWIII? Gets Boston the distributor/calming presence they still need. Plus, I think they have kind of soured on Williams. With KP, he's no longer a starter. Dubs get younger and a body to throw AD and Jokic. All 3 players are injury prone, but still good when healthy.
Not sure Brogdon's gonna be healthy this coming year. Had a bad arm injury late last year and IIRC the Celtics tried to trade him to the Clippers but the Clippers backed away, presumably due to Brogdon's physical health
Mark Bartelstein and Jeff Schwartz have more players under them than Rich Paul. However, Paul has notable players like Lebron, AD, LaVine, Garland, and Fox as their agent.
Sure wood be nice to see the Warriors add a center like Mo Bamba, Frank Kaminsky, or an older vet like Gorgui Dieng or Dewayne Dedmon. And perhaps add Jay Huff on a two-way contract.
Good shooter, but his defense is questionable. He seems like JMG 2.0 in my opinion. I would take him for a vet min if there are no other good centers, however.
I also find it interesting that except for two seasons with the Rockets, he changes teams every year. Seems like nobody wants to keep him around for long.
As always injuries are everything this year. Lakers, Clippers, Dubs, Memphis (more demonstration of brain damage than physical), NOP, Suns, Mavs (also at risk of brain failures) all are candidates for injury-driven disappointment. Or upside if healthy.
1. Denver will keep rolling, but they will get their first year of target practice treatment by the league. Nice to have that target off our backs.
2. Lakers beat us and got better. I don't like looking up at that team, so we need to size up.
3. Sac is in great hands with Mike Brown, solid off season, I think they get into the 2nd round this time around.
4. Memphis, addition by subtraction. Marcus Smart should bring the leadership they have been lacking. I think they are still on the fence for home court first round.
5. Pho has killed it in the FA market. Lots of wins but serious chemistry issues.
6. Clippers. Nuf said.
7. NOP & Zion, they need to shake it up.
8. OKC and SAS top the League Pass list
Warriors? This really is the wild, wild west this year. This is the hardest group of teams to project win/loss records I have ever seen. Regular season games are going to matter. But will the Dubs treat the regular season like it matters? I think Chris Paul will, and I think his attitude will help push the old standbys, who frankly need it, during the 82 game campaign.
Kings probably won't end up at 7, bc at least one team above them will get hit w major injuries (hopefully not the Warriors) - but just on talent and decent health, all those teams either were better or have gotten better, while the Kings have not.
"He's exactly what you'd expect out of a depth point guard - he can do everything well enough without being spectacular. A lot of Pistons fans gave him hell for getting big minutes on a tanking squad because of his connection to the former coach but he's a solid player. Certainly more suited to a role on a contender at this stage."
"He’s good. Serviceable backup who was a good veteran presence for us. Can shoot. Will make some questionable plays on offense sometimes. A little too small to be a great defender."
"He's been good enough to carve out a 12-year career as a backup point guard. He seems like a good teammate and he'll be fine in garbage time. If he's playing considerable minutes then something has probably gone horribly wrong for you guys anyway."
"He’s a steady veteran that will play as best as he can when his number is called. There will be zero drama, zero culture issues. He’ll show up and play his role. On a team with Curry and CP3, he’s going to be your insurance policy. That’s it."
This ain't a signing, but here's what the Suns have doing lately:
[Haynes] Free agent veteran guard Darren Collison worked out for Phoenix Suns last week and had a great showing, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport. Phoenix remains aggressive in searching for complimentary players.
This is funny. "Great workout" is, now that I think about it, pretty much an indicator that a guy is washed up. It's the language that "league sources" use to mean "We thought he could no longer reach the net and were pleasantly surprised."
Any chance Dubs can pick up Montrezl Harrell? He declined 2.7mil. Only played 11 min per last season. Not sure what he is looking for.
Great in the PnR. Perfect template for TJD
I kinda like him but he plays no defense, at least, not that I've seen.
🎶 …but he still… hasn’t found… what he’s looking for 🎶
haha
Whoa, 5/260 seems like kind of a lot for LaMelo.
Also, LaMelo being the cornerstone of your franchise doesn’t seem like that great a plan.
Still better than 5 2nd round picks.
Dubs Summer League Roster as posted on nbadotcom.
https://www.nba.com/summer-league/2023/vegas/team/1610612744/warriors
Two 6’0” guards.
We love small, don't we.
There’s also 8 guys 6’5” or above and 6 guys 6’8” or above
Seems the rest of the league doesn’t agree. FYI I spent hours trying to find the roster for the California classic games …..never did find it.
I'm assuming it's the same for both Sacto and Vegas.

Yes
I added SoL and JZ's scouting reports to the main article. Thank you folks!

I am totally in support of JTA for the honorary Andre Iguadola 14th back of the bench spot.

Yea, we don’t really have playing time to give away for the last spot. JTA brings hustle and glue, that’s solid for 12th man in the rotation

I think Boston hangs up on us.
After a good long belly laugh.
With apologies to belilaugh.
Oh shoot you guys! Happy 7th Year Anniversary to the greatest FA Period tweet ever
Aaron Bruski
@aaronbruski
Clippers meeting with Durant was “intense” and “at one point Steve Ballmer was crying” but everyone grew closer and a big lesson was learned
Wow, you aren't wrong. Forgot this happened... it was serious at the time?
Yeah still up. Was gonna reply to it but dont want the guy to block me thinking i was slighting him lol
Who do you guys think will overtake a playoff team from this year? I got my money on OKC and Dallas. Question is... who do they jump?
interesting that rich paul is his agent
According to this:
https://hoopshype.com/reps/
Mark Bartelstein and Jeff Schwartz have more players under them than Rich Paul. However, Paul has notable players like Lebron, AD, LaVine, Garland, and Fox as their agent.
He’s like the Drew Rosenhaus of the NBA
Sure wood be nice to see the Warriors add a center like Mo Bamba, Frank Kaminsky, or an older vet like Gorgui Dieng or Dewayne Dedmon. And perhaps add Jay Huff on a two-way contract.
Christian Wood?
Good shooter, but his defense is questionable. He seems like JMG 2.0 in my opinion. I would take him for a vet min if there are no other good centers, however.
Nothing like JMG, imo — much better player (scorer, shooter, shotblocker) but much worse person.
I also find it interesting that except for two seasons with the Rockets, he changes teams every year. Seems like nobody wants to keep him around for long.
If the others are not available or not interested at the Vet Minimum, I would say yes.
But Wood is only listed at 6-9 or 6-10 and only 214lbs. So a bigger body vet would be better to go against the Joker, AD, and Ayton
Random thoughts about the west next year:
1. Lakers are unlikely to be as healthy
2. Redundant big 3 and lack of defense in Arizona
3. Don't trust zion
4. Thunders youth could be a real challenge
5. Going back to back is hard. But the nuggets are also awesome
6. Is Memphis still a pretender? Lol, yes
7. Kings are gonna be locked in
8. Clips gonna clip
Nuggets are still the favorites but dubs should be in the mix for a top 4 seed at worst but really top 3

Kings are primed for a letdown, imo. They were super healthy last year and teams that improve that much in one season often take a step back.
Current tiers imo (assuming decent health, that Dame is traded to the East and not counting Harden)
1st - Nuggets, Suns, Warriors, Lakers
2nd - Clippers, Grizzlies
3rd - Kings, Pelicans, Thunder, Mavericks, T-Wolves
4th - Jazz, Rockets, Spurs, Blazers
OKC might surprise us.
Gross lakers :(
Not sure what would have to happen for the Kings to fall to the 7 slot. And count me a Suns, Lakers, and Clippers skeptic.
The challenge for the Ws is staying healthy and peaking late. Well, that and our young guys becoming ready for prime time.
Kings probably won't end up at 7, bc at least one team above them will get hit w major injuries (hopefully not the Warriors) - but just on talent and decent health, all those teams either were better or have gotten better, while the Kings have not.
Could be right but haha, I'm not over thinking this right now. I spent about as much time thinking about that post as I did writing this post 🤣
I'm giving dubnation what it needs to thrive, content!
Here's what Pistons fans said about C. Joseph:

High floor
Please don't let him be Brad Wannamaker. Please don't let him be Brad Wannamaker. Please don't let him be Brad Wannamaker...
I wonder why shooting bigs like Christian Wood, Frank Kaminsky, Mo Bamba, or Dario Saric haven't been signed yet? Is it because of their defense?
Can’t be. They don’t play any.
Hasn't this guy had "great workouts" for teams for like 3 years straight without being signed?
This is funny. "Great workout" is, now that I think about it, pretty much an indicator that a guy is washed up. It's the language that "league sources" use to mean "We thought he could no longer reach the net and were pleasantly surprised."
I’m pretty sure we brought him to training camp one year right? (Obviously passed on him)
yes. I remember that.
Yes. 2 yrs ago maybe.
Wonder if the Hawks plan to keep Garuba. That would be a really nice pickup for us
Can’t say I watched much of the Rockets last season, but isn’t he kind of similar profile to TJD?
Cory also has 7 years of playoff experience. Won a ring with the spurs 2014, he's a winner and comes from good team cultures
