Success for me. Trying to replace Chriss and Thompson with Wise and Oubre and expect to contend for a title would have been unrealistic. We were competitive to the end but Steph was overtaxed with the scoring load he nearly carried (and usually did). Klay's 3 and D expertise with a serviceable big will do the trick. Go Dubs!!!

Hi Everyone!! Long-time former member of GSOM since the Monta days, and I finally decided to make the transition over to LGW now. So happy to see many other folks from back in the day here. CaptainJack alluded to this earlier, but GSOM is not the same as it used to be, and I'm sad that I had to move on. There are a few posters over there, one in particular, who basically take up the board with condescending remarks to other users. Wish I could give Sleepy a high-five when he spoke out against him lol. Definitely not a welcoming atmosphere like how GSOM used to be.

Back on topic, once Klay went down that definitely made me very less optimistic about this season. Even with the addition of Oubre to help fill in some of the gaps, didn't think that would be enough to contend with the elite teams. Figured at best we could maybe get the 5th or 6th seed but not even make it to the Conf Finals. So with that in mind, I don't really call this season a real success or failure since the expectations weren't really that high to begin with. The one thing I was hoping for was to see Wiseman develop, but the injuries and COVID-related time he had to miss really sucked. I'm glad we had the late surge to really show us what works best for us, and that Steph can still dominate. We should be a more attractive destination compared to what we looked like going into this season. Hoping we can get Minny's pick so we can have 2 going into this upcoming draft. Lot of optimism going into next season now and the offseason will be very interesting since the team owes it to Steph to do whatever it takes to compete for a championship.

Roster construction. I would argue that to a man, Lacob, Meyers, Kerr, Steph, Klay & Dray have a shared singular goal and are 100% invested in pursuing another Chip WITH THE CORE (Steph-Klay-Dray) together. A Chip won with that trio to bookend the Durant years (which is the current asterisk on the Warriors greatness) would be more than just another Championship. Today, this team is sitting at the Table of Greats (60s BOS, 80s LAL & BOS, 90s CHI). But they are "guests", they are not "members". A Chip with this trio wouldn't be just another Chip. It would be THE CHIP. It's the Green Jacket at the Master's. It's the ticket to full-fledged membership at that Table of Greats. And there isn't a single one of the Lacob-Meyers-Kerr trio or Steph-Klay-Dray trio that isn't acutely aware of this fact. Everyone else not named LeBron is playing for a Chip. The Warriors are playing for basketball history and to raise the Warriors Brand to a place even higher than it is now (hard to believe) and that Brand matters to all those mentioned above, financially and in more personal meaningful ways to the legacy of each.

Anyone who thinks Steph would okay a trade that would send off Klay or Dray has to first assume that Steph "doesn't believe" that that trio can win another Chip. To me, the idea that those guys don't still believe in each other, that they can't win another Chip together is beyond absurd.

Roster Construction? We have the foundation on the court and in the front office. The rest really isn't that hard if you Axel Rose "need a little patience, .....yeah, yeah" . Good times ahead folks.

“It’s a matter of perspective and time frame. If you look at it on a geological time scale, 300 million years ago, dinosaurs were — hang on...”

This did give me some perspective. Those poor dinosaurs never got to watch Steph Curry play basketball!!

Wow with mavs up 2-0, if we made it as 8 and beat the jazz, we may have not had to even deal with the clippers.

As a fan, it was a good year. Did not think the Dubs would win it all, but enjoyed the Steph show nevertheless. Season ended poorly of course. But I watched more regular season games this year than any year I can remember. Steph and Dray were dominant again. Wiggins turned in his best season. The team really improved from the start of the year. You saw the emergence of JTA and Poole. You saw glimpses of what Wiseman could be.

Regular season was fine. Post season was heartbreaking. Don’t really understand why the two vets that are Steph and Dray suddenly lost their minds in the last two play in games and became turn over machines, but at least both of those games were close. Team under performed in the end by not making the playoffs. But as a fan, it was a fun ride while it lasted. Too bad it ended a too soon.

I know it's only an 0-2 deficit against Dallas but if there's one team I expect to lay down and die in these playoffs it's the Clippers lol

Ty Lue coaching your team? Good luck with that. He got lucky in 2016 when coach Lebron took over with his generational talent and took advantage of a hobbled Warriors team

Mavericks are 17/31 threes, but they are also 9/20 FTs. Seems like they traded FT shooting for three pointers tonight, since three pointers are worth more than one point.

Any season that doesn't end with a chip for this team and franchise is not a success. Despite that, I wouldn't call this season a failure either. I mean, what were the expectations post-klay injury? I think most pundits pegged this team as .500 or under

What this team showed was a gutsy resilience to even have a shot at the play in despite all the unlucky-ness that happened from draft day all the way to the final game of the season.

I still think this team was capable of making a big run had Oubre and Lee not missed significant time with nagging injuries/illness
