Excellent write up! Two thoughts:

1. So Draymond is a poor defender; got it.

2. Wiggins first couple of games were miserable offensively, but he’s looked a lot better since.

I’d love to see these numbers again after about 20 games as I suspect there might be some sample size shenanigans

KD can’t be happy with this Kyrie BS. I’m still hoping he regrets leaving opts out after next year and comes crawling back.

If one were to toss out the first two games, which fall into the category of pre-season or even practice games, does your analysis hold up? I suspect the numbers would look better across the board.

Wiggins has been great imo. The stepback threes might just be a hot streak, but more importantly it looks like he's learning how to play with Curry better and he has some real passing ability. Add some excellent defense onto that, and he might just be the perfect third option to pair with Curry and Klay next season.

I don't know if Oubre will ever pick up the offense, but Wiggins had 20 games and that long layoff to prep for it, Oubre has had way less time. Not going to rule him out yet. Regardless of picking up the offense, I still expect that he hasn't forgotten how to shoot. And I've liked his defensive activity, his ability to guard PGs is very useful when playing with Curry.

Looking on the bright side, if Oubre keeps shooting like this, the Warriors will probably keep their first round pick, and perhaps they can re-sign him for cheap in the offseason as a high energy substitute or spot starter if Klay comes back slowly? Light years?

It's VASTLY more important to Wiggin's long term impact with the team that this defensive improvement sticks and that his comfort in the offense and passing ability continue to shine. With an improved roster, they can win a championship with him playing just like this.

Yes, for this team it would be great if he could shoot a little more efficiently. The efficiency should tick up as the disastrous open to the season becomes a smaller sample size. He's been much better since Draymond joined the team and they've locked in a better rotation. Keep in mind this better stretch also coincided with a brutal stretch of wing defenders (Kawhi, PG, OG, Siakam, Derrick Jones, RoCo, Barnes). When he's gotten a good matchup on a CJ McCollum he's torched him.

Wiggins is doing great. Oubre has been non-functional.

The Kings made them work hard in the 4th quarter - trading the lead several times. So there may be a fatigue factor for Indy tonight in the 4th.
