I'll take a Warrior championship any way that it comes, but if I could have my way, the Nets would make it to the Eastern Conference finals, then crap out with Durant playing 48 minutes brilliantly but Harden and Irving letting him down. Doesn't matter to me who comes out instead -- Philly, Chicago, Miami, Washington DC, Milwaukee -- but whoever it is faces the Warriors, who have rampaged through the West amid whispers of the dynasty being reborn. The first game is an epic struggle, with the Ws emerging victorious and breaking the spirit of the opposition. They bring home the chip while Durant watches on television; heck, they could even send him a ticket to game 4 for old time's sake.

This game kinda reminded me of the first matchup against the Clippers way back in the 14-15 season; coming off a 7 game series loss against them, the dubs crushed them by 20 something and cemented themselves as legit contenders. Dray even hit a 3 over Blake and stuck his tongue out like he did on KD

They are nuts. All of them.

Dray wants to bite everyone who disrespected the Dubs recently, in his podcast, every Wednesday? That’s a lot of blood and agonizing screams, you know?

Steph wants to play 48 minutes? We would be on a fast track for a schism: the Dubs on one side and the other 29 teams to the other, founding the NCBA (Non-Curry Basketball Association)

And in all this, the Dubs most cheered player is … GP2! (It’s just fair, he deserves it fully)

And in all that, the mastermind, the true responsible for all our joy, of all this triumph…. disappeared? Bob Myers, come out and get your fair share of gratitude for the AWESOME team you built. For us. For Mr. Lacob. For four hanging banners that feel lonely.

We are nuts. All of us.

Off topic but this is my best source of basketball knowledge so here goes. I just got done with my first practice coaching 5th grade girls. Coached many of them in third grade, we only did some skills work outside in 4th grade. A lot of these girls play pretty high level competitive soccer, and a few of them play basketball on multiple teams.

At practice we did some simple skills work, dribbling, jump stops, shooting from the block. They are serviceable but I’m not going to say great. Then we scrimmaged, and the defensive intensity was off the charts. They started face guarding full court, like 5 5th grade female GPIIs. Our league disallows full court press so I told them they had to get back across the midline on D. So they basically starting running a half court press trapping in the corners. I honestly had given them no instructions at this point, first practice so just wanted to see what they could do.

I’m really scratching my head how I want to coach these girls, last thing I want to do is tell them back off on D, but it feels strange to put in a half court press as my first defensive set. Anybody here have some direct advice, or maybe some websites or things that have good age appropriate coaching materials? While I did teach them the blind pig in 4th grade - and I’m sure to pull out a few more E1Ps this year, I usually try to keep it simple. Thanks in advance.

I can't buy Porzingis as a legitimate NBA starter. His offense can be very impressive but he is pretty useless on defense. He can't do anything when switched onto small players but he also doesn't defend bigs particularly well, gets pushed around.

All the older prospects the Warriors presumably considered at either 7 or 14 are looking really rough except Duarte (who has also cooled off some). Moody's not doing anything of note right now but at least you can fall back on him being a physically underdeveloped teenager. What do Washington fans tell themselves to feel reassured about Kispert?

ESPN article about the Nets game from their perspective. I didn't realize they were supposed to have had the 9th best defense going into the game. I didn't see it.

Another tough night for Baze - 0-5 from the field, 0-3 from three. Now shooting .320/.286/.750 for the year. Fortunately all your Baze aren't belong to us!

Nets beat the Cavaliers, but the Cavs made the game interesting in the 2nd half. Also, a few of their starters played heavy minutes.

Wade: 38 minutes

Okoro: 39

Garland: 40

Rubio: 33

Davis: 24

OT Sorta. I access DNHQ via my laptop. Earlier, the 2 pages I had open with DNHQ content had a 'blip', I refreshed the pages and got nothing but a blank screen so I closed out both windows. That was about 30 minutes ago. When I opened a new window to bring up the page again ... I did not get DNHQ, I got Let's Go Warriors. wtf I had the site saved on my favorites bar and the name had changed there, as well. Strange. Hopefully not something that will keep happening.
