I was *driven to tears* by our D tonight. On offense, the Clips were like, *don’t stand so close to me* and then *bombs away.* And there was seemingly no *other way of stopping* them.

Ah well, we miss Dray badly, but *when the world is running down, you make the best of what’s still around*…

I have an hypothesis on the ‘quick release’ dunking style of Jon: I think that he really worries about slamming his head or face on the rim, should he hang tight and get those few inches more of lift. What do you think?

After watching the Super Bowl, I am reminded why I’m first and foremost a basketball fan, but also shown that there are competent and enjoyable broadcast teams - just that they don’t announce for the dubs.

Interesting couple of weeks of "poking the bear." Kevin Porter Jr. starts trash talking Steph and Steph erupts with a 21 point fourth quarter and Dubs win going away. Last night, Kuminga gets into LeBron's grill and LeBron responds with a 1-10 4th quarter shooting performance, capped by bricking a FT with 2 seconds left. I was dreading it when Kuminga started staring down LeBron, but things turned out pretty good.

Can someone give an example of other shooter/players going through an extended shooting ‘problem’ like Curry seems to be having? What was the eventual outcome?

Eventually, were we to get 'the dragon' Dragic, who would he be replacing?

On a quicking coaching note, Kerr needs to be called out for his absolutely ridiculous reticence to use the fouling strategy. On a team that includes Steph/Poole (90+% FT shooters) and Klay/Lee (85+% FT shooters), not fouling and relying on your players is terrible.

I know this was probably covered in the past, but is there any way to turn off email notifications for all threads?

You know in the NFL how the offensive coordinator speaks into his play placard, presumably to avoid having lips read? Was there an epidemic of teams hiring lip-readers who can distinguish between any of 1,000 plays and communicate that information to the defense in useful time, so new steps had to be taken?

Here’s a nice WTF on a quiet basketball day: Anthony Edwards 7th in 3 pt attempts this season (435), and 89th in 3 pt percent (35.6%). You’d think he’d ease up on the bombing a bit. Nope. Today vs Indiana he shot 7 for 13 (53.8%)!

Well... we can't say Kerr never fouls up 3!

Well now, just read yesterday’s two minute report. INC means incorrect non call. IC means incorrect call. Here’s the copy/paste. But TLDR: refs really tried hard to blow the end of the game, but the right ending happened for the wrong reasons.

Q4 00:05.1 Turnover: Traveling LeBron James Warriors INC Video

Comment: James (LAL) splits his feet at the start of his dribble.

Q4 00:02.4 Foul: Shooting Stephen Curry LeBron James IC Video

Comment: Curry (GSW) wraps his arms around James' (LAL) waist prior to his upward shooting motion on the perimeter. A personal foul should have been assessed.

Q4 00:02.4 Violation: Double Lane Stephen Curry Russell Westbrook INC Video

Comment: Curry (GSW) is inside the three-point arc and Westbrook (LAL) and Wiggins (GSW) enter the lane during James' (LAL) release on the free throw attempt. A double lane violation should be assessed, which would result in a jump ball at halfcourt.
