Both great players but only one of them changed how NBA basketball is played and that is Steph. Wemby is unique but at the same time he is following a path already blazed for him by other basketball unicorns like KD, KP, even Ralph Sampson back in the 80s. Wemby might end up better than all of those guys but he isn't revolutionary and Steph is. Steph all the way
I’ve thought Draymond has been fairly decent in the recent games with Steph and Jimmy out. He has taken on more offensive responsibility. Had some poor halves of games (Memphis) but generally showed up .
The Spurs game the Warriors shot extremely well in the first half, especially the first quarter. They could not sustain that.
Fun to watch and now we’ll get to see what they can do after the All Star break.
I found watching wemby dunk annoying There was nothing impressive or basketball about it. When i need to put garbage in the can in the kitchen i walk to the can drop it in- no drama no art but two points. Cyrry is breathtaking
He has some breathtaking dunks, there were at least 2x of those in the LAL game, but Dray played him so well that he couldn't successfully make any moves to actually do anything impressive looking. So it was just those jump shots and the boring looking lob finishes at the front of the rim.
Steph has 4 titles and is a top-10 all-time player. As amazing as Wemby already is, and I hope he has a long, injury-free career, it's still the prudent bet to take the under on both of those.
If he has a long injury free career, he will undoubtedly go down as a top 10 player of all time. He's already mind bogglingly impactful. Even if he never develops an isolation game, he's already one the best rim protectors of all time, he can shoot, and he's an incredibly impactful roll man. He's gonna need those titles to get past Shaq, tho.
"A long, injury-free career" is the exact issue. For any professional athlete, injury is always a threat, and as tall as he is, his odds are probably longer than average.
Any one know why W Richard did not play vs Spurs?
Thought he might have been useful slowing down D Fox a bit.
Knee soreness, I believe

This was well written - really fun to read and advanced my thinking
I need some context for this poll. If we are "drafting your player x or young player Y" Have we seen Steph in MSG yet?
Or is the question knowing what we know now right now, who do you bet on?
Young Steph is an undersized shooter with questionable ankles and young Wemby is already Wemby.
Steph is a basketball artist. Victor is a basketball rube goldberg machine.

I agree, but the odds of a long injury free career aren't too high
And then there's Kareem.
