Warriors love Chris Paul, continue his revenge tour as they beat Oklahoma City 141-139
Dubs are on a mission this season to get CP3 that ring.
The Golden State Warriors are 5-1 now, making them arguably one of the greatest teams in NBA history through the first six games of an NBA season. And they did it by knocking off an EXTREMELY feisty Oklahoma City Thunder team that was missing their best player in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in a 141-139 barnburner.
They don’t raise banners for that though, so let’s just give supportive fist bumps to our fellow members of Dub Nation as the Dubs continue what I’m calling the Chris Paul revenge tour.
The Oklahoma City Thunder were the team that traded CP3 to the Phoenix Suns, the only team Paul has ever been to an NBA Finals with. OKC originally received the 12-time All-Star in a trade with the Houston Rockets when apparently James Harden had enough of playing alongside the future Hall-of-Famer.
For that one season in OKC, Paul did a great job showing he was still a force to be reckoned with in the league.
Paul also later revealed the Thunder rejuvenated him and credits them for extending his career.
“OKC was unbelievable,” Paul said. “I might not still be playing if not for that year I had there because I found that joy back.”
Paul also revealed that after he was traded to the Thunder, nobody from the Thunder reached out to welcome him, likely because they were actively trying to trade him. He reached out to Thunder general manager Sam Presti and asked for the contact information of his new teammates and reached out to them.
Nobody reached out to the OG Paul, huh?
Well last night the Warriors reached out deep into the heart of Oklahoma to snatch out a win on the first night of the NBA’s newfangled In Season Tournament concept. The court looked like a fever dream from a NBA 2K fantasy career, and OKC was wearing jerseys that looked like they were taunting the Dubs for taking their mascot “Thunder” and the We Believe colors.
Paul dished out 13 assists in his first trip to OKC as a Warrior. Is Klay Thompson shooting 700% off of CP3 passes?

I can't figure out what statement the Thunder were trying to make with the exact imitation Warriors throwback uniforms. Plus, against the background of that garish floor, it was real hard to see those guys on the TV. Somebody ought to let them know.
