Warriors Gaming Squad is in the NBA 2K League Finals!
WGS plays for the $420K cash prize Friday at 4PM PT on ESPN2/Twitch/YouTubeGaming.
First the Golden State Warriors organization created a dynasty. Now they’re looking to replicate that success in the eSports world as their NBA 2K League team “Warriors Gaming Squad” is in the championship round.
For the first time since the virtual league’s inception three years ago, WGS is in the finals with big money on the line. The 2020 NBA 2K League Playoffs delivered by DoorDash has a total prize pool of $920,000, with the NBA 2K League champions receiving $420,000 from that pool.
Warriors Gaming Squad hasn’t been home to see their families in several months due to the pandemic, giving them extra motivation to winning the title and the cash prize.
