This season is shaping into a free for all. The good teams are rising and the competitiveness is admirable. Where is the Dubs place in it all? If we don't get it together soon, we will be a play-in team with the odds against us to contend. If this is Win Now, what happened?
Thankfully, the play in isn’t till April, and we’re only 2.5 games out of the 4 seed. There’s… ummmm… time left to close the gap. Time when we won’t have played the toughest schedule in the NBA… and theoretically time when Klay, Wiggins, and CP3 won’t be simultaneously slumping from beyond the arc.
Hmm, I don’t see anything *that* egregious about that specific clip? Takes a tough fadeaway hook shot instead of going strong to rim, and whiffs on a half-hearted screen. But he does sprint back on D and deter the initial Denver ballhandler from getting into the lane.
In a general sense, tho, yeah, the clip reminds me what an absolute drag it was to watch his clunky, telegraphed, uninstinctive game. I think GreenDray summed it up well with “everything that's not in his immediate field of vision appears to be an unknowable mystery to him.”
Agree about the spatial awareness / feel for the game - everything that's not in his immediate field of vision appears to be an unknowable mystery to him. What's the opponent trying to do? Could be anything. He is completely reactive.
Yeah… really disappointing he couldn’t put it together… optimistic view: he’s just thinking too much and too slowly still, while trying really really hard to prove himself, and putting a lot of pressure on himself. And he’ll pick himself back up after accepting his situation and getting some reps in a lesser league.
The 17 year career of Eric Gordon is an inspiration to small people everywhere who can kind of shoot but not even lights out. Career 43-37-80 % shooter. 2 assists a game from the guard spot, averaging 32 minutes. I don't remember ever thinking he was playing defense well. Has never played 82 games and in the last six years hasn't played more than 57 games and that was a lot. And yet, there he is, playing for Phoenix, having himself an evening. Long after we are all gone he will be out there, making a three every now and then.
Exactly. A lot of people focus on his three point shot, but he’s really good attacking downhill and finishing at the rim. The only thing remarkable about his three point shooting is he does have relatively good success from well beyond the three point line (“relatively” for anyone except Steph and Dsme).
Sea Dubs!! 27 points in 32 min for Gui, and 15 / 10 double double for Uzman on 7 of 10 shooting. Didn't get to watch it, but the box score looks pretty good for the young guys,
The thing I'm the most impressed about Maxey is how his usage went all the way up but his turnovers remained the same. That dude takes care of the ball
Go vegetarian, Daniel. I have from the first day of this calendar year and look at Steph’s performance since then. Shooting better than ever, posted that 50 point game in a game 7 against Sacramento, is on a record tear hitting at least 4 threes a game. Some dishes I used to enjoy I don’t have any more but it’s more than worth it to see Steph play like this.
76ers-Cavaliers game is heading to overtime. Bad news for both teams: they're on a B2B! Cavs head back home to play against the Heat tomorrow, while the Sixers play against the Timberwolves in Minnesota tomorrow.

People posting the Poole clips a lot this season but this is the experience I miss the least out of any experience the last few seasons:

He's gotten "reps" by now but when you don't have the spatial awareness/feel for the game, that can only do so much.

I feel bad for Wiseman - always seemed like a good guy who tries, but he just isn't a good basketball player.

Lakers have a game against the Mavericks tomorrow.

EJ has pretty good size: 6’-9” wingspan, broad shoulders, a rock solid 220 lbs.
In terms of physical profile, he’s basically a classic 6’-5” SG in the Anthony Edwards / Dwayne Wade mold, only with no neck.
Exactly. A lot of people focus on his three point shot, but he’s really good attacking downhill and finishing at the rim. The only thing remarkable about his three point shooting is he does have relatively good success from well beyond the three point line (“relatively” for anyone except Steph and Dsme).
He's thick guy who has conditioned himself well.
I'm 5'6. Would love to be that small.
If you can defend by letting Steph blow by you, no one would know the difference. Hope the date went well.
Warriors could've gotten him, but he chose to go to the Suns instead.
I wouldn't have wanted him. Last thing we need is a poor defender.
He’s always had a rep as a decent defender.
Suns beat the Blazers 120-107. Suns starters have played 29-37 minutes each.
Suns aren't taking out there starters yet? They've already won.
Point differential tiebreaker! They need the points to make the next round
Yeah, 30+ minutes for the starters, excellent news.
Suns are up double digits and are shooting super well tonight, but the Blazers are refusing to back down.

Lester comes alive from 3 in crunch time.
Dig DUG!
I am still on Garuba Rock.
I guess this means that a few pieces of driftwood have washed ashore, and I can start to build my hut.
The thing I'm the most impressed about Maxey is how his usage went all the way up but his turnovers remained the same. That dude takes care of the ball
He's a baller for sure
Cavs beat the 76ers in overtime in an IST game - and the Cavs were without without Donovan Mitchell
Cavs beat the 76ers 122-119 in OT.

Gosh, Daniel - baked chicken sounds great, but we need a little more heads up, to choose which wine to bring... ;)
Enjoy...

Everything turning up roses for the Wolves so far this season.
Go Blazers! Keep it as close as possible - we might need to beat the Suns in net rating to get into the knockouts.
POR within 5 at halftime, without Scoot or Anfernee Simons, and also without wanting to win.
Need POR to keep it close enough to have the PHX starters play to the end.
GO BLAZERS
Double OT good enough for you?
18 min each for KD and Book at halftime
KD played all 12 minutes in the third quarter, so he's up to 30 for the game. He might not play in the 4th if Suns can extend 12 point lead a bit
Yep, hope the Blazers have a run left here
