Warriors crush Rockets 120-107 as Poole leads the way with 25 points
Gary Payton II is a PROBLEM btw.
Quickie recap! Tonight the Golden State Warriors did what they have loved to do during the Splash Bros era: put a beatdown on the Houston Rockets by the score of 120-107. GSW used a 34-22 third quarter surge to put the Rockets away early, which is a good thing considering the Dubs play tomorrow in the second game of their back-to-back against the Atlanta Hawks.
Jordan Poole led all scorers with 25 points, with 15 coming during a hot streak in the first quarter.
Both father and son versions of Gary Payton were in the building tonight, with GPII having the kind of the game that had to make his pops proud. He tallied 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals in 20 minutes off the bench (with a game high +27 plus/minus).
And if we’re talking about the bench we gotta bring up Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica who scored 15 and 9 points respectively. These two combined to go 8-for-11 from beyond the arc, and Bjelica was a +21 in 14 minutes. When these two were on the court, synergy increased by 900%.
The Dubs are 8-1. and if they beat the Hawks tomorrow in Chase Center, that means Golden State will have opened the season winning nine outta their first ten games…without Klay Thompson or James Wiseman, two starters!!! Imagine how many games they could have won so far if they actually had an “A-grade” offseason…
I think GP2's dad was Shawn Kemp... just saying.
GPII is >>>>>>> Bradley.
Does the cutting and re-signing reset his bird rights clock?
Bjelica and YG seem like they can become almost as much like PB&J as the Splash bros.
