Not their best effort. I wonder if they spent all their time and energy on a Dub's Gone Fishin before the series concluded? After all, Chuck guar-an-teed they were gonna win!

Despite Episode's VI: The Return of the NighNigh, being a flop, I will look forward to many reruns of Episode VII: The Flurry Awakens!

Next Franchise to dismantle?

I can’t believe that Kings Herald write was proclaiming the end of the dynasty after Game 6. How cocky was that?

On the other hand, I can believe you kept the receipt…and it’s awesome that you did. 😂

OT: New video from Paris. Highlights from Atelier Des Lumiere, a cool installation that combines art, music and projection-mapping technology into a very cool light show in an empty old factory. (The individual clips are short to avoid copyright infringement.) https://youtu.be/Bu9-9h1jLJw

Sort of like the van Gogh exhibit that was in San Francisco a couple of years ago.

Yes! I believe it was produced by the same people.

Minutes played: (Nuggets)

Jokic: 41

KCP: 41

Murray: 39

Gordon: 39

MPJ: 23

Brown: 25

Green: 16

Braun: 16

That's a lot of minutes for the Nuggets starters.

Expand full comment

They knew they really needed this one.

Expand full comment

And they got it. They just powered past the Suns late in the game. Phoenix was even hitting shots and seemed to fall even further behind.

Denver is formidable. Let's see if they can do it on the road.

Both teams sucked worse from 3 than the Kings & Warriors did all series... it was kinda wild, actually...

Expand full comment

Yeah I wasn't sure if I should be impressed by their defenses or just not at all scared of their offenses...

Expand full comment

Minutes played: (Suns)

Booker: 45

Durant: 44

Ayton: 33

CP3: 25 (injured in the middle of the game)

Lee: 26

Okogie: 22

That's way too many minutes that Booker have Durant played tonight. No wonder they were not able to hit their shots off in the 4th quarter.

Expand full comment

With the "your turn/my turn" offense, they can just camp out and rest when it's not their turn, so those 44 minutes are more like ~30 Steph minutes.

Expand full comment

Given how much Steph runs off ball compared to those guys, it's more like 22 Steph minutes.

I still take it for granted how great our core 3 is when it comes to performing in the playoffs. It gets ugly sometimes but these dudes somehow always find a way to come through. Undefeated in the West under Kerr is crazy considering how many series we've played. We have lost only TWO series during this dynasty and have NEVER been swept or even lose in 5. That's insanity. We shouldn't get used to this because after our big 3 hangs it up I expect us to look more mortal in the playoffs.

Expand full comment

Tbh I dont expect to be title contenders for a while after Steph retires. But if this was some kind of faustian bargain that gave us the Curry Era in exchange for another 40 years of purgatory...I'm coo wit it

Expand full comment

Chances of us getting another superstar that can impact winning like Steph does after this is very slim. It's going to be even tougher to find guys that complements each other on the championship level that Steph, Dray and Klay has.

Expand full comment

Let’s see. Canon, Draymond’s son, and Damion Lee’s son could be playing ball 15 years from now. That could be the next generation.

Expand full comment

Yea Steph is generational. Likely would need another decade+… maybe can try to recruit/sign?

38 FG attempts. Career high in any game for Curry. W. T. F.

Wasn't a WTF moment for me. He told his teammates that if they'd buy in, he'd deliver a victory. The Kings had stymied the motion offense; the Ws had to do something different. And there's nothing as good as putting the ball in the hands of your best player and letting them iso or pnr. They just kept sending Steph and dared the Kings to stop him. Made a ton of sense, as did slowing the pace against the younger, more athletic Kings.

Steph’s last bucket … 1 on 4. Split a double team, split another double team, layup. Damn!!!

Expand full comment

I'm sure he would have been glad to beat the fifth guy, but someone has to guard the other four Warriors....

Expand full comment

“The thing that only he can do. A beautiful dominant performance by Steph Curry.” I like it.

Expand full comment

Suns glaring lack of depth is showing. Unless their role players step it up at home this one might be over in 5. Two guys can't beat a team. Not in a 7 game series.

Chuck just picked the Lakers. Dubs are winning in 4!!

That guy is such a clown. I don't mean that as an insult; I mean it literally. They might as well put giant shoes and a rubber nose on him.

That said, I'm glad he's picking the Lakers. Didn't he guarantee that the Kings would take the previous series?
