Warriors cannot be stopped, hold off late Timberwolves push
Draymond Green leaves the game after knee to knee contact
This is why I watch all the games.
After pushing to a comfortable halftime lead on the strength of an Andrew Wiggins revenge game, the Golden State Warriors watched the Minnesota Timberwolves drag themselves back into the game during what is normally a strong Warriors 3rd quarter. But in the end, it didn’t matter, as the Warriors depth was just too much for the Timberwolves to contend with.

Or… actually, maybe it wasn’t depth, but top end talent? Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins (35 points on 19 shots), Draymond Green, and Kevon Looney (career-high 17 rebounds, and some fantastic defense on KAT) all started this game and played huge roles in winning the battle.

As always, this is just a short place holder thread for our community to discuss the game. Our team will be back in the morning with your full recap goodness. For now, we celebrate another Warriors victory!
My goodness, indeed!
If you are looking for takeaways, I’ll be paying extra attention to Green, who left the game in the 3rd after taking this knee to knee contact. As a basketball player, I cannot over emphasize how much those “knee to the side of your knee” impacts suck. Hopefully Green is okay. He shot his free throws, but immediately went to the locker room and didn’t return.
Warriors cannot be stopped, hold off late Timberwolves push
If Minnesota has fans, I imagine they're very confused when they play the Warriors and THIS Wiggins comes out. Those dunks on KAT were FIERCE.
Oh yeah, and those alley-oops to Payton allllmost ended Minnesota in the 2nd Q. Unfortunately for us they had a bit more fight in them, especially on the offensive boards, whew! This was the first, maybe second game this season where it really felt like they were out-working us on the glass.
Steph had a quiet night (25 points lol) and the rest of the team played well to stay ahead even when Minny made a run. DLee's absence was felt, as was Draymond's in the second half, but fortunately we still have more guys whose *presence* was felt. Crazy how that works. OPJ with great rebounds, Dre with excellent defense and decision-making, Bjelica with some good shots, drives, and passes... even JTA and Poole, neither of whom had a "great" game, were solid enough they didn't really give Minnesota any leverage.
Looking forward to our toughest test yet vs Chicago.
Whew what a game. The Warriors were so much better that they could have won about 10 challenges this game and they still never let the Wolves back into it.
It was sad to see the refs ruin the rhythm with atrocious calls at every opportunity, and I hope the fans demanded they be escorted from the building after the game.
The dunkfest that blew the game open was phenomenal!
Draymond going down was hurtful.
Wiggins and Looney clearly were saving up all season for this one!
These guys are F’ing giants and they gave it to the wolves and the refs in this one during crunch time.
Go Warriors!
