Culture, winning and money. We all know how hard it is to win a Chip. But trying to keep this much talent together on one team for a long period of time is going to be the greatest challenge of all. Owners, front office, coaching staff, players, agents, outside advertising income contracts, TNT, and a pinch of media/social pressure are all in the mix. And smack in the middle of it all is Bob Meyers. And I forgot to mention, "A G5 and lots of money."

This article on Draymond recruiting for the dunk contest is hilarious. Almost seems fake, like an onion article or something. I need to go fact check - is JTA really invited? https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/juan-toscano-anderson-pushed-draymond-green-do-nba-slam-dunk-contest

Kings beat the Nets 112-101 and end their 7-game losing streak. Claxton (9/11 FGs) and Johnson (8/11 FGs) were the Nets' best players. Mills was good (5/12 FGs, 4/8 threes) and Irving was okay (5/15 FGs, 2/5 threes), but Harden was trash (2/11 FGs, 0/5 threes).

As for the Kings, Barnes, Mitchell, and Hield played well. Jones was good (4/5 FGs, 4/5 FTs, 8 rebounds), Metu had 12 rebounds, and Haliburton had 11 assists and 4 steals.

Even more important than Lebron’s boo-boo: What’s up with GP2? I can’t find an update, but he is not on today’s injury report. I hope he’s ok! We need that fireplug!!!

KD once answered the question as to what the Dubs do differently in third quarters. He said they didn’t do anything different, they just made sure to wear out their appointments in the first half, so that the better conditioned Dubs could come out fresher in the third quarter and overwhelm their opponents. Could this be what happened last night in the fourth quarter?

Down go the Sixers, leaving the Bulls (18), Grizz (18), Warriors (13), and Suns (9) as the only teams in the league with under 20 losses. And we’re still three weeks from the All-Star game.

Warriors going 67-15, 73-9, 67-15 in Kerr’s first three seasons just looks more ridiculous as the years go by.

@DNHQOverlords As suggested by the community, can you please create a Captain Toaster logo for our new offical/unofficial mascot? A BDSM Chair was a close second.

I finally watched the JJ Reddick interview with Dray ( https://youtu.be/zimngZdtUNg ). It was amazing. Here's a few takeaways and links:

(1) I thought all the color he provided around the Hampton's Five was fascinating ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zimngZdtUNg&t=4308s ).

(2) This section re: Klay really stood out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zimngZdtUNg&t=4085s

He basically says that Klay will get his shots no matter what, and that Dray feels responsible as the facilitator of the offense to make sure Klay gets great shots. And if Dray doesn't do so, then Klay will end up taking poor shots. Dray flat out says that he thinks if he was on the team right now, Klay's reintegration experience into the team and the NBA would be different (https://youtu.be/zimngZdtUNg?t=4211 ).

(3) Finally, in his talks about the Rockets rivalry ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zimngZdtUNg&t=5613s ), which includes awesome Morey-shade, but also:

(3A) He mentions their defensive strategy ( https://youtu.be/zimngZdtUNg?t=5720 ):

Let Harden have his, but make sure the rest of the Rockets can't get theirs. Then, Harden will be tired by the 3rd/4th quarters, and can't keep pace and will fall behind. This is eerily similar to their play all season. Of course, outscoring opponents in the 3rd has been a staple statistic that they excel at throughout the dynasty (as far as I remember). This has me wondering whether the dynastic 3rd quarter numbers are all due to overwhelming the other team/star with defense and tiring them out? It feels like we've talked about it a lot more this season. I guess I never noticed as much since it seems that in the dynasty years, they'd always swing out to huge Q1 leads, too.

(3B) Really Going for the 'Chip: https://youtu.be/zimngZdtUNg?t=5856

JJ Reddick says you know when a team is really going for it: Putting their chips on the table rather than holding on to assets/resources. JJ gave the Rockets credit as the only non-LeBron team that was going for it.

If what JJ says is true, then are the Dubs really going for it this year? And if not, what else could they do?

Here's my question for our community then: How many of you would trade one of the three younglings for someone like Patty Mills, who would fit under the MLE and instantly become a main rotation player? Mills is one of the only players out there who would fit under the salary cap structure who would be a major upgrade. If the Nets fall anymore, they may be enticed by a potential future star for a sacrifice in 'chip probability this year. And if you would say yes to a trade, who would it be? MM, JFK, or JW? What if it had to be 2 of the 3? Would you trade all three?

I figure this game sent shivers all through the league once the meaning set in. The Warriors already HAVE their next generation and they are showing out!

I love Loony's sneaky "buffering" pause. He stood so perfectly still, I thought it was a video glitch. and, wow, several of both Moody and Poole's threes were just lightning quick releases with a defender right there. Steph-level amazing...

What a great Poole party last night. This game almost made up for the loss to Indiana at the start of the last home stand.

31/6/5 from a second team guy? Sensational, rarely seen during the "Strength in Numbers" era. And Jordan keeps on excelling, night after night. (Well, not including the Rockets game.)

Great seeing Moody and Kuminga play the way they did, too. Heck, even Chiozza looked pretty good last night.
