Steve Kerr's plan if James Wiseman misses time is as expected: Kevon Looney will start and play 20-25 minutes and Juan Toscano-Anderson and Draymond Green will see some time at the 5, he says.

Glad this was not an ACL tear for #Wiseman; a lot depends on the location of the tear & it's size. If it's small and/or in an area with poor blood supply, it can get "shaved out" and lead to a 4-6 week recovery. Bigger tears need a repair = 4-6 months recovery. #DubNation

Quick Thoughts

  • Crap

  • Also: craaaaaap

  • Wiseman should have never used that Monkey’s Paw

  • It’s such a shame because Wiseman had finally begun to be a plus (literally positive +/-) on the court and was putting it together.

  • Even if he rushes a return and could catch the last bit of the season, what in the world would the point be? He would be bad and not healed right. I can’t imagine this happening.

  • 4-6 weeks out means he can play Summer League. 4-6 months means it will be some of the same old BS where he comes back in time to miss all of preseason and every practice.

  • In-the-box idea. Kerr says Looney and Our Guy Juanito will get more time. This is good because Juan Toscano-Anderson has more than earned more playing time, but not at this price.

  • Out-of-the-box idea 1. Get Omari Spellman, who I believe is with the Erie Bayhawks in the G-League and presumably eager to get back into the league, even on ten-days. He knows the system or at least has a head start.

  • Out-of-the-box 2. Alen Smailagic. Unleash the Smiley Kraken. Take the tank and make it your logo.

  • Out-of-the-box 3. Hire a exorcist.

Okay, so I went and calculated the percentages by which various people are to blame for the Wiseman injury.

Joe Lacob (for uttering the words "Light Years"): 0.0%

Rick Celebrini (for not being Chelsea Lane): 0.0%

Steve Kerr (for something something floated by some jabroni on GSoM): 0.0%

Trump (just cos): 1.3%

No one: 98.7%

What a bummer. Wiseman was in the midst of putting together second consistently good game in a row and then got unlucky on landing after what should have been called a foul, and now he'll miss the rest of his chance to really work on that game against NBA competition? The basketball gods can be so cruel!
