I think Wiseman still has a ton of potential and I understand why GSW drafted him and why his development has unfolded in stutters between injuries and illness.
I just have to say, my straight gut reaction to the Wiseman trade is relief.
And that was my feeling before hearing that the trade would end up with Gary Payton II. Now my straight gut reaction is happiness.
For those of you saying we should have just re-signed GP2. First, that’s in the past which we can’t alter. Second, you got a half season to really try Wiseman out. Also, GP2 spent that whole half-season paid by POR to be injured.

Two more points:
1. Hanging on to Wiseman waiting for him to ripen was going to get increasingly expensive after this season, so it makes sense to take a one more good look at him this season. 2. Not signing GP2 in the off-season meant we got DDV
I’m just glad GP2 is coming home and I hope he’s still got something left in the tank.

This year (2023 - 24) Wiseman in Detroit made me sad pretty often
