So last year, Steve Kerr publicly declared early on that Kuminga and Wiggins didn't fit together (I believe after about 100 minutes together) and as we all know, those were 2 of the 4 mainstays in the Warriors best lineup last season (Dray/JK/Wiggins/Curry and either Podz or Klay)
I listened to the quote today and it's not out of context, he's saying, once again, "Hey, can't play JK as much, just doesn't fit with Dray/Jimmy in a lineup, we are going to maximize Jimmy"
Given that this combination has barely played together, I was curious the actual context, how much have they actually played together?
38 minutes across 11 games. An average of 3.5 minute stint per game.
-26. Doesn't look great on the face. But -16 of that is from a 5 man combo with Moody/Podz when Steph was out.
Just for context, I decided to look it up, the most any 5 man combination has played with those 3 is 13 minutes (Curry/Podz, +2)
For comparison, since Kuminga returned, the starting 5 has spent over 100 minutes together and Butler/Green/Moody have played 299 minutes together in that span.
What’s your point? Because if it’s just that they haven’t played much together, then I think that is Kerr’s point too. He has reasons for that, and he’s familiar enough with their attitudes, habits, skills and game play that I trust him to know what he’s talking about.

For real. Ended up with JJJ at 37 minutes, Bane at 39 minutes, and Morant at 36 minutes. Seemed pretty improbable early in the fourth quarter that the minutes would get that high.
I've come around to that opinion, but ideally I'd like Memphis to lose to Denver tomorrow as well so if Memphis has to play a little harder tonight it could hurt their chances tomorrow.
Daniel popped out a new thread.
Wolves beat the Grizzlies 141-125. Edwards had 44 points, Randle had 31, Ja had 36, Bane had 28, and JJJ had 23.
Grizzlies will have a 2-1 record against the Wolves this season after tonight's game

I agree so much that I liked your comment two times
Grizzlies executing a great fake comeback, lead seemingly too big for them to actually win but just small enough for them to keep playing hard.
Perfect outcome

Finish them off tomorrow, Denver.
Are you expecting to lose to the clippers, or why are you rooting for another grizzlies loss?
5 fouls on JJJ
Minnesota looked like the 2017 Warriors in that third quarter
That is why we need to avoid playin at all cost
Wolves up 119-97 after 3 quarters thanks to a 52-25 3rd Q run by the Wolves
good god.
That 52 is scary.
Minny 18/21 (!!!) from the field in the 3rd.
Ant with 44 points, 13/17 FGs, 7/9 threes, and 11/13 FTs
Players as athletic as Edwards aren't supposed to be able to shoot the way he can. My god.
Maybe players that athletic will start to shoot this way more. Grew up watching Curry, practicing 3s from an early age.
Damn that move by Ant was legit
Hoping for a fake comeback from Memphis
Don't we want Memphis to lose?
Clippers will probably have to fight us now. Six seed our likely ceiling.

It will be a back to back in Denver, almost a scheduled loss at this point
Ah.. That's why "fake"
Yes. Then we control our own destiny
Let's go Wolves
If Memphis loses today, we move up to 6th spot, right?
Yes
26-5 3rd Q run for the Wolves. Things have turned around since Edey and JJJ got 4 fouls in the 3rd Q. Wolves haven't missed a shot in the 3rd Q yet.
I changed my mind, rooting for Wolves, however still rooting for close game that tires Memphis out for tomorrow.
