Q. I wanted to ask your emotions about draft night and everything that went into being drafted by the Warriors.
A. I don't know. It's still kind of unreal or something that I'm here now. I just flew in last night. Draft night was just completely hectic, I think. I didn't go into draft night knowing that I was going to get drafted. I knew that I had a shot, but yeah, I think around five minutes before it actually happened, I got the call that just watch the TV and be ready to see my ugly face. That's what my agent told me. So no, I was watching, and I kind of assumed that it was going to be-- because he didn't say a team, right? I was assuming and hoping that it was going to be the Warriors. And that ended up happening. So it was just a lot of emotion. My parents-- I was in Puerto Rico with my girlfriend. She lives there. It was too short of a time to go back home to Amsterdam. So my family, they watched it there with each other. And we called, and it was emotional, but it was beautiful.
Q. Yeah, I was just going to ask, what was that phone call with your family and just the emotions that went into all that?
A. Yeah, I was just-- honestly, I think I was quiet for the first minute. I don't think I had words or something. I didn't really know what to say. But yeah, it was beautiful. I think my parents were both crying, and my little sister was there. So yeah, it was just beautiful. That's all I can say about it.
Q. You worked out for the Warriors, correct, pre-draft? Yes. What kind of connection did you feel like you were able to form with the organization at that time? And what do you feel like you were able to showcase at the workout that ultimately led you getting picked?
